I lived in Haddonview, in the North Building, from about 2009 to August 2017. There are a lot of good things living here with a couple of shortcomings:
Pros: Utilities are included Doorman to sign for packages, open the door, etc. (The regular doorman for the North Building, Bob, is/was the best doorman. He learned my name and apartment number a week after I moved in and was just awesome) Free shuttle to take you to Patco/Philly in the morning and in the afternoon, if you're commuting into Philly or Camden. Location (Patco is only about a mile away for either the Collingswood or Westmont stations, within easy walking distance of a new Target opening, basically shares a parking lot with the library) Online portal to pay rent or submit a service request Service Requests were done quickly and usually properly Plenty of parking in the parking lot A private pool with lifeguards that you can become a member to in the Summer A small playground, tennis courts, swing sets on location
Cons: Parking lot security: Over the years my car has had its window smashed and stuff taken out of it, my catalytic converter cut out of my car (~2700 dollars' worth of damage), as well as numerous scrapes or even broken side view mirrors etc. Haddonview has no, or at least didn't at the time of my departure, security cameras in the parking lot. After my catalytic converter was taken I emailed the management office again. They said they were looking into it. When I followed up a week later they said "Management is currently working on obtaining a quote from our security contractor. As promised when I have an update I will reach out to you." That was the last communication I received on this, and that was from November 2016. Again as of August 2017 there were no cameras put into place. I also know of other people whose cars were outright stolen from this parking lot or also experienced the exact same things as me above.
The second con is the Management office itself. The people here just seem to be here on a rotating basis, never lasting very long. This translates into poor knowledge and I basically never had a good experience with them. When I was moving out, it was like pulling teeth to try and get information out of them: Would I have to care about the carpets? How did I drop off the keys? How and when would I get my security deposit back? Some of the information I just had to flag down the maintenance people for since the management office was so unhelpful.
Overall I really liked living here. If you don't have a car and don't anticipate dealing with the management office often, this...
Read moreI started my process with Haddonview in July 2022 as I was relocating from Atlanta and decided to start my research early even though my plans weren’t to move until the end of the year. I spoke to both Marie and Judy who were amazing and provided me with all the information I needed, and I knew right away I wanted to live here. They advised that they would let me know closer to the time about units that came available. I went to visit the property September 2022 and loved it! I saw several units some in the process of being renovated. The property did not disappoint, and it was great to meet Marie and Judy in person! My plans changed and I wasn’t going to be able to move until the first of the year. Marie and Judy 100% had my back and secured me the most beautifully renovated apartment! They kept me posted throughout the renovation process and even asked about my preferences and sent me pics! Talk about going above and beyond! Well.. when I arrived and actually saw it in person, I felt like I was on an episode of HGTV for the big reveal! It WAY exceeded my expectations! Absolutely beautiful with an amazing view! I could not be happier! It is also important to mention that the other staff who work at the property the cleaning people the door people, all super nice. I feel very lucky to have...
Read moreHaddonview Apartments is a wonderful place to call home. I have lived here for the past two years, following my college gradation. I am moving on to be closer to family but I have nothing but positive memories of my time here. The location is great, it was the perfect distance for me to commute to my hybrid job in Philadelphia. The shuttle service (free of additional charge) is a great perk of living here! Its also a quick (relatively cheap) uber and easy patco ride to get to Philly. However, there are so many amazing restaurants, bars and shopping to explore in this area as well. Everyone that works at Haddonview is lovely, you will always be greeted with a smile and how are you from anyone who works here. There have been few maintenance needs during my time here but whenever I put in a request its been addressed the next day and with great service. Its easy to feel safe and at home here. There's a wide range of residents from young professional, families, to retired folk but everyone I have interacted with has been friendly and respectful. Overall, I have no regrets on my decision to call Haddonview home and I am grateful for...
