Where do I even start? From top to bottom, start to finish, this place is an absolute gem and a banger!

It’s been around forever, I grew up going here and recently came back to the area and knew I had to stop in the see what was new….

Ali, one of the owners, has some of the most outstanding customer service skills and his smile and charisma light up when you walk in. Nothing else like it. This guy is straight up awesome!!

Omar, the other owner and Ali’s brother is in the back cooking up some of the best food in the area.

I got garlic knots, pizza, fries, tenders and mozzarella sticks.

The garlic knots are hands down the BEST garlic knots I’ve had in my entire life. No joke. Legit. And my standards are high / picky for garlic knots. They’re fluffy, pillow-like, chewy and PACKED with garlic. Tons of garlic and the texture is PERFECTION. If you like dry overcooked no flavor garlic knots that skimp on garlic, go elsewhere.

The pizza is in my Top 2 and I’m very particular about my pizza….fresh, perfectly cooked, ratios of ingredients ideal and not too thin (I hate cracker-like crust pizza. If I wanted that, I’d get a flatbread) it had the perfect texture, chew and nice amount of cheese. Has a very very awesome unique flavor that’s hard to describe that I’ve never tasted before all the way through to the dough and the cheese is FRESH. These guys know what they’re doing

Oh and by the way, the tenders are hand breaded and house made to perfection. Nice and juicy, melt in your mouth fall apart just picking them up.

The mozzarella sticks are also house made and you can tell they are fresh.

These guys are charitable too, involved in the community and with donations.

Literally everything about this place is amazing from the people to the food. I can’t get over how amazing those garlic knots are. I’m mad because now I have to go back regularly lol.

UPDATE: Shortly after writing the review below, the owner of Genova's reached out and apoloized for the last order. I had the opportunity to recieve a new pizza tonight, free of charge, and I must say it was quite a difference. It was cooked properly, and tasted fantastic. I have to update this review to 5 stars, as not only am I impressed with the food, but the customer service is fantastic. A big thank you to the owners, I will certainly be ordering again.

I ordered a pizza from Genova's for the first time tonight, and I must say, this is the first time I've ever been truly conflicted about a location. Having lived in this area my entire life, I've tried almost every pizzaria around, and wanted to try something new. Ordered by phone for delivery and the person who answered was extremely polite, delivery driver was great as well. When handed the box, it felt extremely light. When opening the box, I found out why. We ordered a plain white pizza, and half the pizza was giant burnt air bubbles. I do have to say, the parts that were normal were delicious, however the bubbles that covered 60% of the pizza were terrible, hard, and cracker like. It seemed like garlic and oil were thrown in spots on the pizza, and not spread, so the cheese and dough just bubbled up and became hard, inedible pieces. I normally don't mind a bubble or two on a pizza, but the fact that they even sent this out the door was mind blowing to me. Honestly, would have been a 5 star review if the pizza wasn't messed up, but will probably not give this place a 2nd chance, only because I'm not willing to spend $17 on half a pizza and another half of...

This place is probably the best pizza/sub joint I have ever been to in my 24 years of living. My boyfriend lives in nj and we wanted to grab something to eat, he loves genovas and I had never been. Everything about this place is a classic pizza shop. They have fun murals on the walls, classic tables throughout, a soda fridge, and outdoor seating. The owner was so kind and welcoming. She asked us if we wanted to sit outside, and she literally brought our food out to us after we ordered. I asked for extra stuff on my chicken cutlet and she added it no problem. I got the Diablo with the long hots and added buffalo sauce and roasted red peppers. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. my boyfriend got the chicken Caesar cutlet and it looked absolutely amazing. He even got one to go for lunch the next day. The garlic knots are insane, and the penne/tomato sauce they toss it in is so so good. All around this place was amazing, the food, the atmosphere, the prices. The owner even came out to check on us and just have light conversation, it made us feel like a part of the place. (I even had to use the bathroom and she led me to the back bathroom, which was clean and in order) it’s great spot to go after a game, or maybe get takeout for a baseball/football game. I wish I had a place like this when I was younger, it seems like the perfect spot to take ur kids after a tournament or for a quick bite.
