On July 3rd went to Miramar beach first hoping to get down on beach, but what we found was a dangerous 4-5 step without any handrail, and my companion is handicapped and could not risk falling, so we were unable to access the beach. We discovered the road is now one way coming out of that area along the ocean front, the road is eroding and huge boulders have been placed along the beach to slow the process down. Many patrons filled the Miramar restaurant as their parking lot is easily accessible, but driving along this frontage road is not possible anymore. How does one reach the other end, who knows? As for the dogs I see plenty "off leash" because of the 10' cliffs, above the beach, containing the animals to the beach, the weather here is outstanding most of the year and the near by Miramar restaurant is a must when your here for a day trip or need a great meal with your significant other. Read moreThis beach has a variety of sand. Some places are rougher than others. On the north end, there are some nice soft flat areas that feel really good on the feet. Starfishes by the rocks around the middle of the beach during negative tide. Interesting rock formations too.
