The Miramar Inn & Suites — Hotel in Half Moon Bay

had a very pleasant and somewhat surprising stay at miramar. when we travel we are there for what an area has to offer such as half moon bay. what we do expect is a clean room and decent accommodations. this facility checked all ! pleasant staff, nice size room, refridge, micro wave, flat screen tv, couch with table, wifi with computer table, coffee maker etc etc. i never write reviews but in this case, this establishment deserves to be recognized. on a recent trip to USC, we couldn't find anything under $300 without really negative comments. miramars pricing was a bit concerning, but we thought we're only there to enjoy the coast and if it lived up to other reviews we would be ok. it was a pleasant surprise to find this gem and we will stay there...

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. Basic motel, but room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Conveniently located on Highway 1, close to beaches, restaurants, and hiking trails. Short drive to downtown Half Moon Bay to the south or Pillar Point Harbor to the north. Friendly and helpful staff. We liked having the couch to watch TV and the little table to have our breakfast. We did use the little fridge and microwave too. I also liked the soap dispensers because it is less waste than using little plastic bottles. The highway noise and distant fog horn bothered me a little on the first night, but not on the second. But that would be the same for any motels in the area. Would definitely...

This used to be America's Best Value Inn. Same owners. All they did was rebrand it and jack up the price. One room had bed bugs. The only comfortable room they had before was the smoking room, of which they had 1. Not sure if they still have it as smoking with the rebranding and all. It used to be $129 a night and I know for a fact that they haven't done a remodel. My wife and I stayed there several times last year and had 3 different rooms. Bottom line, go elsewhere.
