Sussex County Mattress — Attraction in Hampton Township

I don't know how this store has any decent reviews. I feel the truth is important, and i don't like leaving a bad review, but this was bad and people should not have to deal with situations like this. I bought what was labeled a Sealy. I tried that mattress in the store 3 times, before purchasing and loved it. After delivery, i hated the mattress, it seemed nothing like the floor model. I was utterly confused. I noticed that fill was missing in the middle, causing my back to bow. I weigh 98 pounds!? I went to the store and tried the floor model again-and i loved it-it felt nothing like the mattress they had delivered? I was confused, called that REALLY nice salesperson at the store, trying to be very nice, and told her the bed delivered was different, i didn't know how this could be? That salesperson became the nastiest viscous person all of a sudden. I asked if i could switch and buy the floor model. She outright refused that idea, and would not even honor the warranty. I only had the bed for 2 days. I did an online search regarding this problem. Had Sealy lost it's great reputation? No, what i found out was that most likely, this was a bait and switch situation with a refurbished/refilled used mattress, not legal practice. This might explain why she would not let me swap NOR purchase the floor model. This was a huge purchase for me, an $800 bed. She tried to not let me speak with a manager or owner. Owner had another Sealy delivered-Same lack of fill-this one was worse--nothing like the floor model. They should call this The Caveat...

I bought a mattress here, and when I went to pick it up, provided information showing that the exact same mattress was offered elsewhere for a few hundred dollars less. I asked about the lowest price guarantee offered by Sussex Mattress, and was told that it would be looked into and that I would receive a call back within a few days. When I didn't receive a call, I called back and again explained the situation. I was told that it would be easy to check out, and again was told that I would receive a call back within a few days. Each time, I provided my phone number to be sure they had it. It has been nearly tow months now, and still no call back. I would say that before you actually buy here, do your homework by asking if they still do honor the lowest price guarantee. and then running a search on the mattress you want. Aside from that the purchasing experience was pleasant, It's just the lack of customer service...

I don’t write many reviews, so this alone should speak volumes. As a business owner, I’m well aware of the impact customer service has on a business. Marianne has provided the absolute Best customer service I’ve experienced in long time! She’s very friendly, easy to speak with, and accommodating to what I was looking for. I didn’t have intentions on buying anything that day, but because of her exceptional skills assisting me in finding exactly what I needed for myself and my daughter it just made sense. The cost was also very reasonable. She knows her job well and truly loves to help you every step of the way. Thank you very much for all your help Marianne!!! I will be recommending Sussex County...
