The first time we (total of 4of us) went there it was great. We drank, gambled table and slots, had fun. We (6 of us) went back, played slots but only blackjack was open, no roulette. Wasn't a bad time. Tonight 6-14-24, we (5 of us) went. 3 of us had ordered some drinks sat on the back deck and smoked cigars while the other two played slots. We were sitting on their deck, drinking drinks from them, an employee decided to lock the door on us at 11:30pm. We were like okay, thanks for telling us you're locking the door. Then about 10 minutes later another employee came and unlocked the door and said "I don't know why they locked the door on you guys". We then proceeded to go in the previously locked door intending on playing slots, and a worker at a full card table, of which it looked like he was playing at, NOT dealing said "I don't know how you even got in here the door was locked". My reply was the other worker unlocked it. I also asked him what time do you close? To which he looked dumbfounded by, and he said midnight. Which is funny because they locked the doors at 11:30 and their own website says 1am. We will never go back. The Brook, and the casino in dover are far...
Read moreI could NOT believe how unprofessional and rude the staff was. I stopped in on 6/30/24 to play some cards. They had 4 tables and only 2 were open. There were 4 or 5 dealers and a "pit boss". 2 of the dealers were running the tables and the others were leaning up against the tables or lounging around. One was even sprawled out at one table with her stuff in the seats. I went to one of the dealers and asked if they would be opening one of the tables, to which I got snapped at by the "pit boss" with an answer of no we're not. I went and played some slots while I waited for my husband who went to get something at another store. I could hear the bartender who was talking trash and acting like she was better than everyone. I've been to A LOT of casinos and I have NEVER seen such a horrible display from the employees. I WILL NEVER...
Read moreI was denied entry into Aces Casino with my service animal, despite being a combat veteran who relies on my dog for disability support. The security guard at the front told me service animals are not allowed. This is not only disrespectful, but it is also a violation of federal law under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
By law, businesses open to the public must allow service animals to accompany their handlers. Denying access is discriminatory and unlawful. Being turned away was frustrating, disheartening, and unnecessary. Service animals are not pets — they are trained medical aids.
I strongly urge Aces Casino to properly train its staff on ADA requirements to prevent this from happening to other veterans or individuals with disabilities. No one should have to face discrimination just to...
