Accidentally left my debit card there last night. Called this morning at 10:30 to confirm they had it before driving up. They took my info down, said they’d check and let me know. After not hearing anything for 3 hours, I call back. They said they’d check and call me back. Another 3 hours goes by, I call back and they say they they’ll check and call me back. I tell the girl on the phone it had been 6 hours since my first call and she says they’re too busy to check and they’ll call me back. Another 2 1/2 hours goes by so I call back for a fourth time. When they answer I just asked to speak to the manager. The girl that answers says “are you the one calling about your card? Ok I’ll go check” one minute later she tells me they have it. (So what took 1 minute took over 8 hours) So I go to pick it up, and on my way out I see the manager so I figured I’d let him know what happened. Wasn’t trying to make a big deal about it, I just know that if my staff were treating my customers this way, I’d want to know about it. As soon as I start to tell him what happened, he interrupts me saying “you’re the one that left your card here”… I tell him I understand, it’s just that it took them over 8 hours to tell me my card was there when it only took 1 minute to actually check. He kept saying “you’re the one that left your card here”. Couldn’t believe how rude he was but at least it explains why the staff was so incompetent. I’ve been renting a beach house in Hampton for the last 5 years, I’ll never go there again. There’s places with better food and staff that treats you like you matter. I hate to write a review like this over one bad experience, but it wasn’t just one staff member. It was everyone I talked to all day including the manager who was the worst one. I hope the business owner reads this so they know how their management is...

First of all I ordered my drink . " A slow gin fizz." And the waitress Daniella came back and said the bartender dosent have the stuff to make the drink . So I just got a beer like my husband . She returned with no glasses. Just the bottle . So anyway we ordered the fish and chips . I asked her for onion rings instead of french fries. She brought our food and no onion rings . Wich once again no big deal I delt with it . Then after we ate wich by the way . We ended up getting fish nuggets " Like something from the children's menu "not a peice of haddock. And it was flavorless dried out and the batter was awful 😖. She came and got the dishes . And never commented about the full plate Because my husband didn't eat his. She brought the check . Then disappeared. We had to get a bus boy to go find her . ... So we decided to try the bar and Basically get another beer . The bar tender came over after we waited about 5 minutes . She was very rude droped menus and asked us if we would like a drink . We said we already ate . And we would like 2 beers .She left ,So instead of getting our 2 beers she walked over to the waitress standing their and Started talking .We waited for a few minutes., So we started to leave and then she walked over to us . I told her No were all set . Your obviously to busy . Btw their was only one other couple at the bar . I looked at the fully stocked bar . She DEFINITELY had the ingredients for a slow gin fizz . She just didn't feel like googling it . I think the staff needs to be retrained. Maybe john taffer should be called 🤔 lol Good luck hope you have better luck than us. I honestly wish we went back to our favorite spot . Lesson learned. Good luck Danielle Hopefully you will get better with...

I went here yesterday with a friend to have lunch because we were volunteering for the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival and we each got a $10.00 voucher for our hard work. I ordered some kind of Mai Tai cocktail and an order of scallops dinner. However, the alcohol drink they gave me, I wasn't feeling good after 2 sips and I did tell the server that. I feel like I should not have been charged for something I couldn't drink. I work in the restaurant industry and well...when customers can't eat or drink let alone doesn't like something, we don't charge them! We ask if they would like something else. I noticed that they used my "$10.00" off voucher which covered enough for the drink so there for I paid for the drink that I didn't drink! Scallop dinner was $28.99 and the alcohol drink was $10.00. That totalled up to $38.99 now minus the $10.00 voucher they used instead of comping off the drink. Which if they comped off the drink then the total would have been just the $28.99 for the dinner plate. And then $10.00 off the voucher would total to $18.99 plus the $2.00 or $3.00 food tax. So the total should have been like $21.00 or $22.00. I have relatives that likes this place which is why I wanted to go here and try it out. For me, it's a one and done kinda dine. Just a warning for everyone, if you go here and can't drink or don't like what you order, they charge you for it so make sure you know 100% you can eat or drink it and like it. I got home and took a Benadryl and I felt better so something in that alcoholic drink that I was allergic to which I have absolutely no clue on which one of the...

Not a friendly place for people with food allergies. We informed the waitress that I had allergies and only wanted a plain piece of salmon, no garnish, no sides. After a long wait in which people who came in after us were served their food, she brought out our food and the salmon was covered in lemons and vegetables. We told her again that I couldn't have that as I'm deathly allergic so she took it back. Another long wait by which time my family had finished and she brought out what looked like a plain piece of salmon in a pool of butter, but when I tasted it, there was lemon on it. They used lemon butter. Even after telling them about my allergies. After that, they said they wouldn't try again and refused. I've never had a problem like this at other restaurants so it was a big surprise especially for the price, at $25 for a small piece of salmon. My oldest son got a grilled cheese and it tasted like they used rancid oil for it. My youngest son and husband got good food though so that was a 50/50. My husband's margarita was also well made. So I'm still hungry and upset and dealing with an allergic reaction now which I hope doesn't cause me to miss work tomorrow. If their mistake results in me missing work I'm going to be even more upset. I just wanted to warn others who have allergies that if they go here, to be careful, perhaps make sure the server writes it down or better, speak with a manager about it.

Wow, Completely ignored! I’ve never sat in a restaurant with at least 8-9 servers running around within a stone’s throw, watched two families have their orders taken and never waited on. We waited patiently until the second family that arrived after us at the tables adjacent to ours to ask the hostesses why we had no server. After 5 more minutes of waiting, we decided to leave (there’s a dozen restaurants within a two minute walk). I asked an employee walking around what position and looking at people what position she held and she literally started walking away and would not respond. When walking out I asked the hostesses what was going on…she replied that they had ‘chosen us a new server and they are aware of you’. I told them they could cancel that request that we would be leaving. There was absolutely no apologies from any of the three I was speaking to, and the two fancily-dressed hostesses didn’t look confused or surprised and were DEFINITELY not apologetic. This place seemed like it had a great atmosphere, definitely upscale and the servers waiting on everyone but us seemed very polite, happy and prompt! It was like we were on Candid Camera or in the Twilight Zone and invisible! We were happy to find another place to spend our money and enjoyed a great lunch elsewhere and didn’t let it ruin our day!

I actually hadn’t been to the Sea Ketch in about 20 years, so my husband and I decided to give it a try. Normally, its location on Hampton Beach can make it, and the other restaurants, far too busy for us to go to. They do, however, have ample seating inside. The 2nd level with the covered porch is the main dining area, I was told. This area had the full menu. The 3rd and 4th floors with the tables with umbrellas are a pub style menu with wraps, sandwiches and fried only seafood. We sat on the 2nd floor with the full menu, but we still ended up getting fried seafood. My husband ordered the fried whole belly clams, and I ordered fried scallops. We asked for regular fries as our side, which they accommodated. I also ordered a mimosa. The fried seafood was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The portions were surprisingly large. The fries were not anything to write home about. They are the basic battered type fries. The mimosa was also quite good! A lot of times restaurants with a great location, like being right on Hampton Beach, don’t have to try too hard with the food because they will always have hungry folks lining up. I was fully expecting that to be our experience, but it wasn’t. I was impressed with the food, drinks and service. I will definitely be stopping back to eat at the Sea Ketch.
