Cook County Forest Preserve District has an excellent piece of property that they have let fall apart from lack of maintenance. Their mowing plan during the summer is illogical, with some areas getting nicely mowed and other paths being overgrown. The published plan for improvements which can be found online includes a disc golf course which they have staked twice for construction but no work has been done. The proposed plan does not include a single continuous walking loop path which makes no sense to me. I use this park several times a week because I live nearby but my patience is wearing thin for FPDCC to start maintaining this property and get started on the actual improvements they had planned.
