Boyer Glassworks — Attraction in Harbor Springs

Stopped in on a cold Saturday in early march… sign out front said there would be glass blowing demonstrations so my wife and I were intrigued as we walked about Harbor Springs.

Upon entering we are greeted by a kind gentleman, Harry, the owner. Store is full of his beautiful artwork. He offers to give us a demonstration of how to make a bird on the spot as we are the only two in at this point.

His demonstration was thorough and he explained the process with passion. Very rarely do I see people so in love with their work nowadays.

Harry is easy going and a treat to meet.

What a treasure. Beautiful artwork. Great job at packaging up the glass as well. We bought some Christmas bulbs at the open house and made the mistake of setting the packages on the floor. Our cat got her head stuck in the handle of the bag and spooked. She ran up two flights of stairs with the bag of glass trailing behind her making a point of crash into every wall for dramatic effect.
