Harbor Springs Lyric Theatre — Local services in Harbor Springs

This theater was made possible through generous donations and volunteers to bring a historic theater back to downtown Harbor Springs, and I really enjoy it. The screens aren't giant, but large enough. If you go during the off season (holidays, summer weekends) you might find just a handful of people there. Personally, I love that. They also serve beer unlike other local theaters. Downtown Harbor is such a quaint and scenic town it's nice to take a stroll before or after the movie. As a real estate agent I think it's really helped revitalize the town, and it's made me miss the days I lived within walking distance to downtown. Oh, it also has nice restrooms. The last timeI went there was too see the latest Star Wars movie, and unfortunately their computer crashed. We weren't able to see it that night, but the staff was really truly sorry, and issued refunds or gave passes for the next showing. Good people, nice upscale theater, competitive prices,...

I can't say much of anything aside from we LOVE the Lyric! My sons are 3 and almost 2, and they had never been to the movies before our first visit to the lyric in 2022! Upon arrival to the Lyric a gentleman asked my husband and I if they had ever been to the movies before to which we replied that this was their first time attending a movie. The gentleman was quick to go behind the counter and get them each a stuffed seagull to remind them of their first time at The Lyric! My kids still to this day, take their seagull with them when we go to The Lyric, and we already purchased tickets for this upcoming weekend to watch Elemental! This place was beautiful! The employees were so nice and kind. This was just a lovely area and a wonderful experience. I highly recommend would definitely love to come here again.

Update: My original post was about 2 years old and I have come back here many times since. This is such a beautiful theater and we really enjoy it but more then that, the employees! They are all every single one wonderful ( They are all volunteers too!) They are so so kind, polite, and helpful. I have some dietary restrictions and 2 of the ladies tonight went out of there way to make sure I knew there were options for me and to tell me about them, it made me feel so included.
