McKelvey Park is a staple of some of Harlingen's amazing Parkways and perfectly built trails ,aswell as having a nice overall Welcoming atmosphere the park also features a smaller workout area for those more dedicated to there craft and self preservation, the park time and time again brings joy to Valley Natives wether they be Young or elderly the park has something for everybody and it even has a large array of seasonal changes for example if you were to arrive at this location during One of Decembers magical nights you'd be welcomed by a huge assortment of Light's ! Christmas Ribbons 🎀 Christmas tree's 🌲 🌲 and yes even a few Candy Canes in the prior years have been spotted dotted along the area! This park is and always will be one of the Best Perfect Parks here at Harlingen Texas Come on down and don't forget to bring the Family for some fun in the sun

Read moreWell, I came here last night for a nice strill. They fixed it up pretty well, very clean. Although I am not sure you can bbq out here, but you can picnic, they have tables and canopies you can use. Very well lit, nice place fir walking, running, bike, skateboard, it is a long trail. I wouldnt concider as a hije but a good trail to power walk or run, jog. Beautiful lights are very nice and calm.
Very nice place to take a stroll or when they have even Blues on the Hill. Just seems like a very nice peaceful park and no traffic to worry about your kid running and getting hit. Read moreSo far there's been sufficient parking at 7 am. There's a restroom for convenience and very nice paved walking/running/biking path. The Park's paths connect to other parks so you can lengthen your exercise routine if you want. The best thing is that you are away from cars and buildings while walking the paths. There are moments when it feels like you are actually away from town. The path winds past and across the arroyo river. Lots of birds singing and flying by.
