Food is AMAZING but the service is so, so SO bad. It deserves five stars but because the service is so horrible I can only give it three stars. I have been there multiple times both while busy and while slow and the bartenders will stand there and be on their phones texting, specifically ignore you, see that you need a drink and they will try to avoid eye contact .... they even let food sit in the kitchen ready for about 25 minutes, I have had to ask if my food is ready and then they got the food for me that had been ready and waiting, so I’d be sitting there for 25 mins for no reason. I had to wait while a bartender made an entire phone call once before I could order anything. The bartenders are shockingly lazy to the point that I have regretted tipping any amount at times. The food once again is incredible and amazing and worth the price, so the kitchen staff knows what they’re doing, the bartenders are just absolute garbage. I’m sorry, I always feel bad to complain, they’re nice guys and they make great drinks, but every single time I’ve been it’s been this way. Also their French fries are the best fries in...
Read moreLet’s be real — Station One Bar & Grill in Harlingen, TX? Total vibe. It might be on the smaller side, but it packs big energy, good eats, and even better drinks. It’s giving “your new favorite spot,” whether you’re rolling in solo, with your crew, or dragging along that one friend who only drinks cocktails with ingredients you can’t pronounce.
The happy hour? Hits every time. Beers for days, wine for the winos, and cocktails that don’t taste like regret. No gatekeeping here — there’s something for literally everyone.
But let’s get to the main character: Hunter. Bartender, drink whisperer, lowkey mixology wizard. He’ll read your vibe, work his magic, and hand you a drink that makes you feel like the moment. Bonus points? He gives elite food pairings and he’s actually an amazing cook — just not in this kitchen. (But like… if he was? Michelin who??)
Hunter = 12/10. Would trust him with my drink order and my life.
Moral of the story: don’t sleep on Station One. It’s cozy, it’s cool, and it’s got that “found-your-spot” energy. Pull up, grab a drink, and say hi to Hunter. You’ll...
Read moreSept 9, 2024 visit..... great visit, great service. Tried something different. Terry Chicken pasta, absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend it...................Hidden gem located in the Medical side of town. This restaurant used to be a fire station back in the day. We've visited a couple of times but only for drinks and had an ok experience. This was our first time eating here. Stopped in for brunch. Wow, night and day difference. Sat ourselves and server attended us almost immediately. Good variety of food, priced within reason. We started with the fried mozzarella bites....not bad, thumbs up. Then moved on to main course. I had the Croissant Sandwich with sweet potato fries and the wife had the Bistec Wonton Nachos. Croissant was delicious. Crispy bread with all the fixings as messy as can be... Delicious. The nachos were really surprising. It was alot more than we expected. Very fresh and well served. My wife loved the fact that the chips did not sog out right away. Very well served. This visit was a lot better than the others. Definitely be back to try...
