I ordered the General Chow for dinner and I rarely ever Eat the broccoli it comes with because it’s raw. But today of all days I decide to eat it . Maybe because I was enjoying my food and the chicken was really fresh, hot and tasted really good. I had already eaten two of the broccoli florets and was about to cut this third one when I saw this green worm on it. It was not moving but it was on there. How could there Be a worm if they are supposed to wash the vegetables? This is gross , I will never eat here again . So sad because it was my favorite Chinese restaurant. I hope I didn’t eat any worms because the broccoli was sitting on top of my chicken. I Hope I don’t get sick . Edit: I spoke to the manager named Aaron today because last night they were closed by the time I Saw the worm . According to Aaron, broccoli has worms so ‘yea it’s normal ‘ he said. He said no matter how many times they wash broccoli, the worms are inside. I told him mine was just sitting on the broccoli and he again said ‘yea it’s normal to have worms.’ Well this isn’t my first time ever eating broccoli and I have never ever seen worms in my broccoli from anywhere else, not even the one I buy at the grocery store. He made it sound like worms come with the food. He should include it in the menu ! Not even an apology from him . One of his employee told me he also manages Great China so buyers beware you could be getting worms as part of your meals at either restaurant.

The food here is not very good at all. I'm from Houston visiting and this is worse than any Chinese place in Houston I've been to. I had the General Chow's, not General Tso's, but Chow. It was ok but well overcooked. Paid for a bowl of Won Ton soup, buy only got 2 noodles with no meat in it. The rice was by far the worst. It smelled like dirty socks and tasted as if someone put a dirty sock in your mouth. Broccoli was the only thing that was decent because you can't really mess up Broccoli. The egg roll was tiny and bland. And to top it off, they did not give free refills on any of the drinks. So much good food in the valley, but this place is not one of them!

The service and some of the food was good. The prices were also responsible, but there was an issue with the wonton soup. My wife love this and has had this many times from different Chinese restaurants, but the way this was made and served left us a little shocked. As you can see in the picture, it looks off. The taste was like chicken broth with lots of soy sauce. The wontons were on the very small side. They did not charge us for the soup, but it did not leave a great first impression. My egg drop soup was good, and our main courses were also good too. We might try it again, they do have a lot to choose from.

Our first visit here. Chinese restaurants are very common in this area. There's two Chinese buffet restaurants within one half mile of here. I was pleasantly surprised that this is a full service menu restaurant. Plenty of servers and they are very attentive. Lunch menu is very inexpensive. We ate a sit down meal here for less than the price of Burger King. Egg rolls very crispy and delicious. I had the Chicken and Cashews that had a very brightly flavorful sauce with mushrooms and other vegetables. It was a little more spicy than I expected but very good. Mother had a Shrimp meal. She liked it. Generous servings, very generous. We brought home half in takeout trays. So we really got four meals for the price of two Burger King meals. I see they have Peking Duck on the menu. We will definitely be coming back for dinner for that. Menu says a full duck. We'll probably only order one for the two of us and have a couple of appetizers. Wine and beer served. Nice Chinese decor. A view of the Arroyo Colorado from the dining room. Very pleased and will...

I don't recoment this place It is on opposite side of SHIPLEY DONUTS. This place WILL NOT SUBSTITUTE NOTHING ON MENU. Noodles tasted as if cooked on the flat grill had a VERY BURNED SMOKEY FLAVOR!!!. THE CHICKEN WAS WAY TO CRISPY AND HARD TO CHEW EVEN WITH THE SAUCE IT WAS SMOTHERED WITH. It took forever to get refills. Waitress was very slow Our dinner came out expensive since noodles weren't substituted (additional cost) AND WAITRESS HAD TO BRING OUT WHITE RICE WILL EVERY MEAL BECAUSE IT CAME WITH IT EVEN THOUGH WE DID NOT WANT THEM. Broccoli added on side (additional cost). Food has a weird taste. Appetizers came together w dinner. The won ton soup has a bad taste ( like dirty shrimp water) Don't try it.. We all got sick. Would not recommend this place at all. Ended up leaving over half of our dinner cuz it was so bad. Our water glasses also had a shrimpy flavor to it. We didn't order any shrimp in any ,wallet/ so if you have shrimp allergy beware of inproper cleaned glasses. Cross...
