Awesome playground. Kids loved it here. A lot of thought, time and effort was put into this one. Very creatine. I thought it was really cool that there were little hidey hole caves the kids could go into with specific little openings to grab FEET! HA HA HAAAA! Thats always what I do with my kids at playgrounds. I GET FEET! Down side is, my big self could not fit in any of the hidey holes but I still got me some feet 🤣. This playground is built of almost entirely wood except for the slides and monkeybars, swings, some other things. It is rotting out in some places and the next time I go here I will be bringing a hammer. There were quite a few screws and nails sticking out of the structure. Most of which were in inconspicious places. Seems that other people or staff also keep up with this. If you get to running your hands across all the wood, you will find some. It is hard to keep track of where your children are. If you bring more than one, you may want to have 1 adult per child. For those of you who actually WATCH your children like my wife and I do. There is a cool little bridge nearby that goes over a slow river and a little bit of nature. Baseball field that looks like you have to be somebody to use it. I'm not sure and don't care to research it. There are also restrooms on property which we did not use. Overall it was a great little pak. We...

Read moreI love going to Purcell Park in Harrisonburg Virginia because it is not only relaxing and quiet and a big environment with many places to walk and exercise it is also a place that has a baseball field for usually young children to play softball and even a concession stand when games are being played which no other public park has in Harrisonburg except at Veterans Stadium when there is college softball most of the time but also sometimes High School softball. The only thing I miss the most is the huge airplane that used to sit in the middle of Purcell Park back in the 1980s which is no longer there which I suppose is for safety reasons and liability issues so everyone stay safe and doesn't get harmed. I also like going over to the lake and listening to the Fountain come out and watch the Ducks when...
