Vocelli Pizza Harrisonburg — Restaurant in Harrisonburg

I’ve been a fan of Vocelli’s pizza since then opened in Harrisonburg… some of the best pizza in town . This evening I ordered online at 5:20 for delivery at 6:15. They called me at 5:45 and said they didn’t have gluten free crust and asked if I wanted to make a substitution so I did and they said they could do that. I waited and waited… no delivery… finally I called them at 6:45… they said my pizza was still there and that I owed money (which no one mentioned in the first call). I explained I had used a BOGO coupon online so it should have been an even switch. Then they said well the delivery driver was out on a delivery for the last 30 minutes (not sure why my pizza wasn’t in that delivery?!?) and that he would bring it when he got back. They also said they would send a free pizza coupon and ice cream because of the trouble. My pizza finally showed up a little after 7pm, lukewarm, like it had been sitting on a warmer for the last hour (which they told me on the phone they had been keeping my pizza warm )… no coupon or ice cream. I don’t expect for restaurants to be perfect… but please own your mistakes and make them right… especially if you want to keep a local...

Big thanks to tonights crew at Vocelli Pizza of Harrisonburg VA. Stopped for a bite to eat and met a former NCAA star. En route to my hometown where I worked through highschool and college for a company called 1000 Degrees Pizzeria Bridgewater NJ. I believe this pie was called Chicken Florentine on our menu; Alfredo base with spinach, garlic, bacon, roasted red peppers and sun-dried tomatoes. Garlic butter parsley & Parmesan herb crust with feta cheese was my custom favorite to get through meal time during college. Nothing has come close to quality of dough and ingredients until my experience tonight. Chicken parm sub with fried eggplant and broccoli rabe were my other favorites. Definitely would be a return customer if I lived local or had a franchise near me. Vocelli Pizza is doing Neapolitan pizza right and deserve a nice Marra Forni oven to add to their up production. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!! That was a VERY pleasant experience! We ordered pizza and it was tasty and fresh. Definitely the best pizza in this area! The staff was really amazing! We had a nice talk (more than regular small talk). Also, we received some tasty meal suggestions to order (which we gonna make in the future because we liked the pizza very much). And after all the guy (his name is Josh) even gave us cookies for free!! And those cookies were so good! I could be wrong but It seems to me that this place belongs to people, who are working there and this is a kind of family business.
