About0.2 mile from the parking lot you will find the historic Iron Furance. Built in 1819. The trail is called The Tennessee Road Trail. Further up you go onto the Wilderness Road Trail. Lot of history and the fact Daniel Boone and the Cherokee walked 🚶‍♂️ these same trails is amazing. If you take trail further up dress properly. Let others know your intentions. Enjoy and be safe. No restrooms at the parking area but there is a small park on the right across from Bed and Breakfast. Just before entering the location

Went to the Iron Furnace located in the Cumberland Gap Tennessee yesterday and for a nice hike. The hike to the Iron Furnace isn't long at all from the parking lot and has a paved trail so anyone young or old can go see it but the other trails are just rocks and lose dirt. The Iron Furnace is very cool and located in a small friendly town with amazing views all around you so go check it out.

This is a really neat piece of history with the tri-corner experience of being in 3 states at one time. The trails are easy to walk on, offering plenty of room and the location is just beautiful. October is a great time to visit while the weather is nice and all the leaves...
