Miers Playground, named after Mayor Daniel M. Miers, who served from 1912-15, is a compact, yet spacious recreational area for Hasbrouck Heights, found on Pasadena Avenue, just east of Boulevard. It has a little bit for all ages , with a fenced in children's playground consisting of a mid size jungle gym, seesaws and swings, a pair of half court basketball courts, and a small shelter, with lots of benches spread out over the park for relaxing. A couple of plusses for the park; the children's playground is surfaced with a cushioned surface that absorbs impact, making landing much easier, and there is more than ample shade to make even a hot summer's mid afternoon a more pleasant experience.
