Ali'i Saltwater Swimming Pool — Attraction in Hawaii

Not a great pool, it is a good size, is right by the ocean and gets rather deep but is completely unmaintained. The saltwater pool is a good idea and could work really well but due to its condition it is not ideal for swimming. The pool is green with large amounts of alge and has lots of rocks in it, the water is stagnant and uncleaned. It does have a very nice view surrounding it though, a exelent place to watch the sunset or just take a good look...

I love it, it’s a community infinity pool so it’s not maintained, the water gets murky and not for swimming pretty often but when the waves get to crash over and bring some “fresh” saltwater it gets awesome. Locals gather around for sunsets daily, you get to know people, everyone is very nice and takes care of its own trash. Prior to it's abandonment, this pool must have been pretty swank-tastic! What a shame. Oh well, it has developed a certain macabre charm in it's current state of greenish neglect. And... there is an entire school of fish swimming around in there! While I don't recommend it for swimming, it would probably be the perfect place to film a scene for a horror film or a death metal music video. Why not check it out?...
