Green Flash Coffee was right around the corner from where I was staying in Kona, and after my first visit, I couldn’t stop coming back! Each time I went, I tried something new and was never disappointed. The staff are amazing. So kind, friendly, and always ready with great recommendations (which were always spot on). It’s no wonder there’s constantly a line out the door! Drink-wise, I tried the Haupia Iced Latte, the Gianduia Iced Latte, and the Mauna Kea Mocha Iced Latte and I still can’t decide which one I loved most. For food, I had the Monte Cristo, the French Toast Sammie, and the Ham & Swiss Panini … all absolutely incredible. This place is warm, welcoming, and everything they have to offer is delicious in every way. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m on the island!

We went here two days in a row, and I can tell you it was great each day! The staff clearly take their time to make quality sandwiches and drinks. One group of people are allowed in at a time, then you come out and take a seat somewhere at one of the tables. When your order is ready a staff will come out and bring your order to you. It seems like a great place to work, and they all seem to get along. It took about 10-15 minutes to get our order and it was quite busy both times. Iced coffee and Americanos were not watered down and were great! Nice and strong, as we requested. The ratio of bread, cheese, egg and meat were great!

GFC is on my rotation anytime I’m in town. Consistently delicious food, yummy coffee (they put coffee ice cubes in their iced coffee!) and 100% aloha vibes. They have parking right in front of the building that is clearly marked when you enter. It shares a lot with The Sea Village. It’s a small operation so have patience if you come during peak hours, it’s worth it! They also have stickers in their case from local artists and sell coffee and other local goods. My favs: French toast breakfast Sammie (local bread from Puna) Iced or hot Kona coffee is delicious Their espresso is also top notch Mahalo! ❤️❤️

Avoid this place at all costs! My wife and I are in Hawaii on our honeymoon and decided to stop here for some coffee before our excursions. Big mistake! The main issue that kicked off this whole fiasco is the fact that they are so slow and we were forced to wait outside in the sun sweating like crazy. One of the female employees there is maybe the rudest person I’ve ever encountered at any business. She accused my wife to her face of cutting in line when she went into the shop to order. To make matters even worse, she went outside and proclaimed in front of me and the other customers outside that she thinks my wife and I cut the line. I decided to avoid making a scene and not say anything as the couple behind us said we in fact did not cut them. I’m honestly shocked that someone this unprofessional could be employed in a customer service position. You’re better off saving yourself the hassle and going someplace else. Plenty of...

I arrived right when they opened at 7am, and there were already 4-5 people ahead of me. No problem- there are chairs and umbrellas outside to wait. As other reviews said, only one group is allowed inside at a time, which makes sense given the small interior. I got an iced latte with macadamia milk and the French toast sammie - both are delish!

I read so many reviews before coming here about how the staff weren’t friendly… not what I saw at all. Both women were kind and efficient, and greeted me with a genuine smile. During the time that I was waiting, several people walked up, saw the line, and left in a huff about having to wait outside. So I wonder if some of these negative reviews are just rude and impatient people who are upset about having to wait in the beautiful Hawaiian sunshine? This isn’t Starbucks - it’s...
