The weather was bad, it was cloudy all the time. We rented a car to go around the island. There were many bends along the way. It was uncomfortable to sit in the car. Driving was very tiring. There were countless bends. 🔻Avoid oncoming vehicles. The most common sentence I saw was, avoid oncoming vehicles, the road is too narrow. The rented car was four red cars, which needed to be upgraded to change the color. When I met the same model on the road, I made a 666 gesture (greeting, thank you)
First look for turtles, there are none, maybe because there are too many people surfing, so they were scared away haha!
Running around, 8 hours on the road, the Mustang is really great Maui Island.
The advantage of this boat is that you can go out during the day and come back to eat and sleep at night. But the dinner is really not very delicious. I tried the steak three times and couldn't chew it the first time. The next few times it was too salty. Did the chef know that I was sweating and gave us salt? It was not ordinary salty. I ordered lobster tail once, which was well made. It was a paid item with a reasonable price. The crew were very friendly and excellent. tips:please check the weather before you make the tour reservation .cancellation must be...
Read moreTerrible port. Security guards are on a power trip and think they’re hot stuff and act like cops yet have zero power to do anything. Super rude and arrogant, constantly giving attitude and think they have jurisdiction over the public road right outside lol. Any question you ask them, they’re annoyed and refuse to help. The NCL cruise line is so unorganized that they didn’t tell the rental companies we arrived here a day early due to being re routed from Maui so people had to walk to the airport / wait 45 mins for Uber/Lyft. Terrible security, terrible staff, terrible organization, and I’ll be glad to leave this area soon.
The only thing this port is good for is getting you off the godforsaken “Pride of America” ship, which is the closest thing you’ll get to a floating Motel 6.
We got into our car from across the entrance and the security guard rudely told us to “MOVE!” And then refused to allow us to make a U-turn back around. We asked him why and his response “Because! There’s a lot of traffic and stuff!” Not a single car or truck in sight in the road. We ignored him and made the U turn and gave him a thumbs up from the now right side of the passenger window. You...
Read moreThe Kaua’i Cruise Ship Terminal has its pros and cons. While the island itself is stunning, the port location is not the most convenient—transportation is needed to get pretty much anywhere, so be prepared to arrange a ride.
I arrived on a Carnival Cruise, and while Uber/Lyft pickups were just outside the port gates, it would have been more convenient if they were allowed inside. However, one big plus is that most rental car agencies can enter the port to pick up cruise passengers, which made the process much smoother for those who opted for a rental.
Unfortunately, port security was not adequately prepared for the large influx of passengers returning before embarkation. The screening process was extremely slow and frustratingly long, which put a damper on the experience.
Overall, the terminal gets the job done, but it definitely has room for improvement in terms of organization and efficiency. Would recommend renting a car to make exploring the...
