We visited Nawiliwili Park on a trolly tour. The protected chickens always cracked us up. They told us a story about a film crew who wanted to film here. One guy threw a large piece of meat in and it was quickly consumed. So they decided to film elsewhere. True or not, I'd like to throw a big roast in the water to see! However, it's beautiful! We could see our ship docked from this park.

This park has a bit of shade and a few picnic tables. Lots of feral chickens call this park home. This area of town is a bit rundown. Shipping docks nearby where cargo and cruise ships dock. A lot of locals hang here to visit and socialize. Great place to watch surfers riding the waves.

Not a bad place to chill. The restaurant 'Dukes' is across the bay. Nawiliwili is more of a local spot to chill so don't go if your easily scared... or racist, Haha. Check out Dukes though, great drinks, great food, great view during the evening. Enjoy.

A photo says a thousand words, but I will have to be content to say. On any given day, it is quite beautiful as you gaze out from the point at the lighthouse and the harbor. I relate to lighthouses and enjoy the landscape and the many people I get to see and sometimes meet at this park and in this harbor.

The landscape to the right is vibrant emerald green. Like the way I envision my heart. It also reminds me of the Celtic islands. This particular place reminds me of a beautiful spot on the northeast of Ireland, except here we have lava rocks that guard the shoreline.

For our tourists that visit the islands, never leave the island with a lava rock. They are spiritually connected to Hawai'i.

I knew that to be true since 1990 when I first visited the Hawaiian Islands. They are a beautiful place to get married. Personally, I got married on the Big Island of Hawai'i. While I am no longer married, the islands kept drawing me in. I visited 4 other times and enjoyed all the islands. Yet, Kauai'i kept calling me home. Honestly, I didn't want to leave Mama Kaua'i when I honeymooned on her all those years ago. And so I moved here.

Home calls to us all in such a different way. Sometimes we are born to it and sometimes we escape to it. Wherever home is for you journey in safety,...

It was nice and quiet. Not too many cars parked, so we had lots of places to park. The waves were breaking slightly over the wall barrier but not too bad. There were several people fishing, and some were just walking around. I didn't see any pets running around at this time of day. There were some students practicing football. Seem like a nice park...
