Kela's Glass Gallery — Attraction in Hawaii

This is definitely a gallery of glass, so you'll want to be mindful of your children if you take them in here. I'm a grown adult and I was nervous...LOL Definitely full of sparkly earrings and jewelry, so my wife and her sisters were in here for a while! There were many pieces of beautiful art pieces, but what drew the ladies' attention were the color-changing earrings. Made by an artisan named Mimi, they change color based on the background, so the sky, your skin, or what you are wearing changes the color of the earrings. The ladies all loved these and I think all of them bought a pair or two! There is a comfortable couch that the guys can use when they get bored, or as in our case, our 95-year-old matriarch can relax in when she got tired of walking. Location is fantastic, this is what I consider the ground zero of Kapaa. It is a glass shop, really neat things, why exactly anyone would come to Kauai to buy glass is beyond me, but they ship, (and not everything is glass). I popped in on a hot day and it was air conditioned, nice. There is some nifty color change jewelry, not sure how they do it, but they let me look at it inside and then stand just outside the door and I could see the color change.

Always seem to find something interesting in this store each year we visit Kauai. Have been here 8-9 times and have purchased several items over the years.

Some very unique, expensive glass pieces to smaller, less expensive jewelry pieces and other items. Definitely worth a stop to see if that special item can be purchased as a reminder of your time on Kauai!
