Our first floor condo was facing the ocean and was FABULOUS!! Not all condos here face the ocean. Our condo view was spectacular! The complex has a man-made "beach" which consists of lounge chairs, straight back chairs, picnic tables, grills, shade trees and palm trees. Lava rocks block most access to the water but the ocean can still be viewed while seated.

This condo complex also has a swimming pool which is very nice. Renters are allowed to have up to two visitors accompany them to the pool at no cost.

The complex has quiet hours after 10 pm which I appreciated!

Leading up to each building are walkways that are lined with flower beds containing beautiful plants/flowers.

Birds are chirping beautifully all day and I believe all night. Red headed birds, yellow birds and brown birds were seen during the daylight hours.

Parking is free-(one spot for our one bedroom condo).

As most of Hawaii does, this complex offers/encourages(?) recycling and those containers are next to the trash bins which are located just inside the parking lot.

If we ever visit Kona again, we would...

Each condo in the complex seems to be about the same layout, but you'll probably have different furnishings in each. The whole complex is awesome. There are very friendly people here. There is a large common area near the beach with 3 gas grills, many picnic tables and beach chairs to look out at the ocean and watch the sunset, and a nearby but separate pool area. I had family in some other condo complexes and they always came here to eat and hang out because this is such a great place for it.

The only downside is there are only 4 visitor spots. But this is far enough from the main area of Ali'i that street parking is possible. This complex is about 1.5 miles from the main area of Ali'i. It's walkable but takes some time.

These two pictures were taken from the common area sitting in a beach chair and from my...

The overall property D-1 is very nice and the grounds are well kept as well as the pool. The onsite manager at the time we stayed was very personable. The management company that we rented it from however is a nightmare. We complained of cockroaches that were literally on our food on the stove right after we got done cooking it. No compensation for the horrid experience and unable to contact anyone who cared during the weekend. Those pests didn't even wait for it to cool. The rental company Sunquest now Abbey Rentals was horrible to deal with and I will never use their services again. This place is infested with cockroaches and they need to do more for pest control which again sits on the rental companies responsibilities, otherwise...

Unit C-24 is the worst condo we have ever rented in Hawaii. No A/C and very poorly maintained. Dirty, rusty, mildew and stains. Old lumpy bed, worn out linens, uncomfortable chairs and futon. Vent fan in the bathroom did not work, was told it is too old to fix, can't get parts. Even the electrical wall plugs are worn out, cords will not stay plugged in, they just fall out. Many problems with the cable box and TV trying to get them to work. No privacy, no security, can't lock doors.
