L & N Bed & Breakfast provided a most memorable getaway for our girls' weekend away. The beautiful Victorian brick home offered four cozy bedrooms, each with our own clawfoot-tub bathrooms. The breakfasts were excellent with food choices that were sensitive to dietary needs and promptly served by a fun, friendly staff. The sweet couple who owns this B&B even joined us for one of the breakfasts as we experienced a fun two hour visit. We fell in love with the town of Henderson where we walked to local restaurants along the lamppost-lined streets and experienced delicious small town home cooking, even receiving personal attention from one of the restaurant chefs who took the time to come to our table and talk us through the menu of foods with and without gluten. Read moreThis was our second stay at L&N and certainly not our last.||This feel less like a typical B&B and more like a comfortable, make-yourself-at-home visit with old friends. The unique southerm charm of house, the warm hospitality of the hosts and the incredible breakfast (not to mention soft drinks in fridge and snacks a-plenty) make L&N a must when staying overnight in Henderson.||The location is also perfect as you are only a block away from the majestic Ohio River and views of its old steel train bridge that still thrill me even though I have seen it thousands of times (I am native of the town but now live elsewhere). You are also only a few mins walk away from exceptional restaurants and a downtown area with incredible charm and perfect for morning walks. ||I wish we could have stayed an additional week. We absolutely...
Read moreWhat a quaint and charming home to stay in! Greg has been friendly and helpful and I have felt very welcome here. There are snacks and water available and I did not have to pay $3-4 a bottle for them like at a Hilton or Marriott. And by the way...the internet is actually secure. My bed is comfortable and other than the train going by in the middle of the night-it is quiet. The Ohio River is 1 block away and several nice restaurants are in walking distance. This place will give you a sense of being back in simpler times when neighbors knew each other and life was not so hectic. Even if you have to go to work each day like I did. There are several historic homes in the neighborhood and John James Audubon State Park and Museum are less than a 15 minute drive away. I highly recommend...
