This a wonderful place to go and have a mid-day picnic with your family. It is generally well kept and there are bathrooms that are clean. There are fishing locations. Within this park is a dog training area and an archery area. Behind the archery area there are some trails that have occasional archery stops along the way. The trails are great place for a quite walk in nature. It is a hidden gem in Hendersonville. The reason for the 3 stars and not the 5 is that I have been stalked/followed twice in this park. One time I was with a friend and we had gone to the bathrooms. Then a man followed us to our car and around the park in his truck. The second time I was with my dog just walking around and as I got in the car to leave this guy just starts eyeing the car intensely. Then proceeds to follow me for about 45 minutes as I drive around Hendersonville. In retrospect I should have called the cops after about ten minutes but it didn't even cross my mind. There really needs to be more cops or security guards in this park. Both times that these things happened it wasn't late into the night or anything. So, great place for family enjoyment and a group of friends just try to not go by yourself, no matter the...

Read morePark has been closed since the December 2023 tornado. Boat ramp has been opened to the public since Summer 2024. Clean up of the tornado damage started 2 months ago and as of now the park is basically a clean slate. All pavilions have been removed as well as damaged restrooms and plans underway to commence rebuilding the park. For those that had previously been to the park it will be much different after the construction. Major tree damage so what was once forest like is now sparsely treed. The pavilion 2 area at the point still has plenty of trees. Some structures have disappeared permanently which will be an improvement. The newer bathroom near the boat ramp (formally pavilion 4) will remain as well as the bathroom that was located at the pavilion 2...
