I recently relocated to Hilton Head and I was searching for a gym to continue my focus on fitness, I had reservations about joining a cross fit style gym. When I came to CTF to speak with the owner Craig I was pleasantly surprised. Craig and his staff of trainers are so welcoming and non judgmental. The system put in place to help you assimilate into the culture of fitness they provide will work for anyone starting at any fitness level. During the workouts you will be met with intensity and asked to push yourself to your limits and beyond, but you will never be asked to sacrifice personal safety to do so. You will be encouraged, you will be coached in a positive manner, and you will succeed at meeting your goals. Read moreAwesome experience! After checking out their website, it seemed like CTF had two things: an authentic family community and intentional programming. I spent a week in attendance and was not disappointed. Everyone was welcoming and coach Ed was a great coach being knowledgeable, no-nonsense, and providing leadership for each class. In my 5 days of classes we did: the WOD for Ret in honor, remembrance, and support in the fight against pediatric cancer; we did the Hero WOD for the Heroes of Kabul and the 9/11 Tribute WOD. It was a challenging week of training but full of encouragement and camaraderie. Each class began with a sincere introduction and a positive/motivational quote. The classes were diverse l and non-threatening for a beginner to CrossFit looking to stay fit while on vacation or someone looking to go RX+.
