I am being generous from my own perspective as I know Pomodori has a large , loyal following. However, it just doesn't serve more than one dish for entree that I enjoy. That being linguine with clams in a white wine sauce. I called exactly 1 month to the day making a reservation for 4 people. I left a vm saying it was my wife's birthday. Having done that I expected to sit in their rather small, but very warm feeling main dining area. Admittedly I did not ask for it and our foursome had to sit in the cold (at this time of the with the door constantly being opened) front room. Cement floor and nothing "warm" about it. We ordered four dinners, a couple salads, soup and 2 of us had alchohol. If alchohol or a coke is ordered, this is the first restaurant we have been to that doesn't have limes. The waiter told us they cost too much and they wind up wasting money. Not what we wanted to hear. That's not something to tell customers. 1 of the 4 of us liked their entree. 2 of us ordered assorted seafood with linguine and could not finish as we gave half back. The sauce was so thick we could not enjoy the clams, 3 shrimp; 2 tiny pieces of cod that tasted "fishy" and if anything else was in it - I could not see it. 3 of my claims were closed. Not a good sign. A friend of mine in our party said he had 1 shrimp, no fish - and tiny clams. The waiter left for periods of time and but for another server and "bus girl", we would not have been served ouf whole meal. Even .y drink was forgotten by our waiter. Pomodori is not a "go back" for us. We'll leave it to their loyal customers...
Read moreTerrible experience. We were seated outside on their porch at a table next to a parking spot reserved for the chef/owner. She pulled in (I guess not in the kitchen this evening) to pick food up to go. She decided to leave her 2 year old child in the car with the windows open while she went inside. She left and he began to cry for her. As a mother I felt responsible for making sure he was alright even though I’m at the restaurant as a guest. I let a waiter know he was crying for his mother. She did come to check on him but as her food wasn’t ready she went back in again and he again cried for her. Why not wait with him and have them call when ready? I didn’t know what to do for this little guy. When she did come out with food I told her through the screen he had been crying for her. I suggested she bring him inside with her so her guests don’t worry about him in her car. She couldn’t even see him sitting alone in the car from inside. She then CAME inside to my table, stood over me, and yelled in my face that I don’t understand what it’s like for her as a mom and questioned me what she should do. I was shocked. I was worried about her child and she’s yelling at me?! Wow Can’t tell you how the food was because we were all...
Read moreI had wanted to try this restaurant since last year when we were in HH after reading great reviews about it. Good news is that they had reasonable priced wines although not a huge selection. The bruschetta had way too many onions, it was large but came with only 4 small pieces of toasted baguette. Should have had more. My Veal Masala was very mediocre. The food came out extremely fast leading me to believe that the veal had been precooked and warmed. It was definitely over cooked and the pasta and sauce were tasteless. My husband had Tagiatelle Con Bolognese which he loves. Thought it was ok but definitely not the best he has ever had and he has had it a lot in other locations. Perhaps I ordered the wrong dish but each dish should be excellent. Before you ask, I love Italian food and have been fortunate enough to have enjoyed it in many major cities in the US and in Italy so I do know what excellent Italian food taste like. When I inquired about the Tiramisu which I love, what I was told turned me off to ordering. It seems a lot of people like this restaurant and I am happy for the owners and wish you continued success but I will never come back because there are much better Italian restaurants here in...
