Wacky Kidz — Attraction in Hollywood Park

Edit: I am baffled by their repeated response to the reviews of the people who witnesses this event. As I parent that was thinking of booking this place I started looking at more reviews and realized that what this family had to endure that day apparently has happened in similar versions to other people. The rudeness from the lady, the change in “policy” just because, lack of help, communication, greediness, threatening behavior, and response for her assumption that someone was not going to pay comes up in various reviews from various dates. I will attach the picture of those reviews too, but go take a look for yourself. It is sad to see no regard for the damage inflicted, no apology, nor taking responsibility of her unprofessional way of handling of the situation. The reviews she is getting are due to her display of actions in-front of so many guest to see. All are unfortunately true.

Original review: I was excited to attend a friend’s birthday party at Wacky Kidz as I was considering booking for my own child, but after what I wittinesses at that birthday party it is a hard NO!

I arrived at the birthday party and was not greeted, but harshly stopped to sign a waiver. Later on I overheard the lady talking down to my friend about a misunderstanding over guest count. The woman who I heard said was the owner, was hostile and threatening, even mentioning law enforcement to the mom in front of her guests. We were all shocked by her complete disregard for customer service, compassion, kindness, but most of all professionalism and taking care of the reputation of her business.

A mom gets to witness their babies birthday’s once a year and this lady ruined that joy for her. It was heartbreaking to see the lack of common sense for the lady/owner to handle this matter privately or even after the party, not in front of guest.

After further overhearing the conversation, this owner was demanding an increased additional payment that I heard was not stipulated anywhere in her “policy”. I heard the family trying to reason with this lady saying they would pay the amount stipulated on the policy, but not the increased price she was demanding out of the blue. I felt sorry for them as she just continued to scream at them and threaten to call 911, when all they were trying to do was pay the correct amount. Later on a man who came off aggressive at first saying he was a retired detective added to the tension. Eventually he was the one to come to reason and understand what the family was trying to pay all along, and said they would accept the fee stipulated on the policy. Coming to show there was absolutely no need for her behavior throughout the party.

As a parent, I expect a welcoming and joyful experience for kids. I would urge you to explore alternative options for your event - Wacky Kidz is not a venue I would recommend or...

This place is AMAZING!!!! The staff is great. The kids and adults loved it here. One of my guest has his own business and said “we could do a team bonding here”. The staff was fantastic. It is a family business and I believe they have a few other staff members but the lovely owners handled our party and was very hands on. I will say we had the last party of the day but it was completely worth it. I’ve read through some of the other comments and I must say that was not my experience at all. One thing that is true is they do not let you in until you’re reservation time….but that is told to you upfront so you can plan accordingly. For example our party was 7p-9:30p. They told me I couldn’t come in until 7 because they take that time between parties to sanitize the whole building and all of the equipment, which is great. If you come 10-15mins before your time you’re able to give them the supplies and they will start doing the table cloths for you while you wait or you can just wait until your time and do it yourself. I’m not sure why you would have a problem with that. They also suggested that I make my invitations for like 7:15 to give myself time to do all of my finishing touches. I mean I didn’t because I’m fine decorating while the kids play. It’s a perfect amount of space and I’m so happy they only do one party at a time. That way you don’t have to worry about someone walking off with your kiddos. They have things for literally all ages. I also noticed someone had an issue about the cost of her pizza…I mean I get it but at the same time it’s worth it to make sure your food isn’t messed up. I ordered 10 pizzas through little Caesar’s and every single pizza was horribly burnt. Even the pepperoni. If had went through them I’m sure I wouldn’t of had issues. They’re are very upfront about their expectations and if you felt rushed to leave that’s kind of on you because they tell you that there is another party following. If the party before you left so yours could start on time…the party after you should be given the same respect. I’ll definitely be back to book...

I booked a birthday party for my kids at Wacky Kidz and it turned out to be the worst experience imaginable. The lady claiming to be the owner displayed shockingly poor customer service and lacked basic common sense. Upon arrival, she was glued to her phone, neglecting any assistance or cleanliness of the venue. Instead, she focused on making guests sign waivers, including parents of infants who clearly weren't going to partake in any activities. This lack of attention to detail was just the beginning of the nightmare. As the party progressed, the owner's rude behavior became increasingly apparent. She was hostile about guest counts, demanding extra payment $20 per person and even threatened to call 911 when I questioned her surprise price mid-party. She was the only person present at venue, no additional help no upkeep nothing. Please know that we paid the $800 up front before party. The lady was extremely disrespectful since we arrived. I told her numerous times she was making me feel extremely uncomfortable and to back of and we could discuss extra fees she wanted to charge after party not in front of guests. I told her we would pay never did I say we would not pay the “extra costs” incurred. She even cut the party 15min early. At the end we paid almost $450 but were harassed all party long! Her screaming and humiliating demeanor forced my family to leave, tarnishing what should have been a joyous celebration. It's clear that she prioritizes squeezing every penny out of customers over providing even a basic level of customer service. It was an extremely painful and humiliating experience. Save yourself the trouble and avoid booking this venue at all costs. Zero assistance, zero regard for customer satisfaction. This was by far the worst experience I've ever encountered.
