I attended ALIO for about 4-5 months and Iām not sure if thereās enough space in here to list all the positive things I have to say about this facility. First off, when I joined I was moderately active with cycling being my main excersice. I had reached a health plateau and I need something to push me a bit harder. I had never joined a gym and my biggest worry was feeling anxious and insecure. I didnāt really know any exercise forms, I knew I couldnāt carry much weight and I was not confident over all. Iām part of the LGBTQ+ community and I was also worried that there was going to be a heavy ābroā culture if I joined a gym.
A friend told me about ALIO and we got connect with Danny. I did one class and immediately realized that this was something I wanted to do. The facility itself is a very lux/sleek gym with modern machines. The workout routines are moderate, but either Sam or Danny will tweek the exercise depending on your progress (yes they keep tabs on your progress and build rapport to target your goals!). Not only did my body change, but Iām now able to do about 20 pushups without stopping, can hold a squat longer, do pull ups, carry heavier weights and just feel stronger and more confident with my body.
Although I started working out with Danny, majority of my progress happened with Sam (Danny usually does morning classes and Sam does afternoon classes so my schedule was more in line with Sam. Both trainers are amazing and will give you motivation to dominate your workouts).
Aside from the workouts ALIO has meal preps that they offer (extra fees apply), parties for members, competitions and a really fun atmosphere.
Huge shout out to Sam, Sammy, Ashley and Lauren! They made my experience at ALIO one of a kind! If youāre thinking of joining a gym and love to support local businesses, I couldnāt recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been coming to this gym off and on for 4 years. The off is usually do to increased work or family demands and medical issues. I always end up coming back after being gone for a few months because my health tends to decline and I have more pain. And I get lazy at home.
About me: I have bulging discs in my neck, decreased cartilage in my knees, chronic sciatica, and chronic back pain. YET, working out has improved my pain dramatically. I even had a rotator cuff tendon repair last year and I am back working out to about 90% my baseline. Danny was very patient with me through my tears and pain, and helped me get back to normal. The gym was more beneficial in my recovery than physical therapy. Danny knows all of my medical issues and always gives me a modification when necessary. He has to remind me of what isnāt good for me. There are many people here with varying physical limitations, and he is attentive to their issues as well.
I love the camaraderie of the members. Most of us have been coming here for years and it really is like a family. We encourage one another when things are going well and even when they are not so well. When someone takes off more than a week or so, we are usually reaching out to one another or at least asking if they are ok. New comers arenāt treated like fresh meat and are always welcomed.
I love the group sizes (12-14) and everything is spaced out enough that people arenāt working out on top of one another. The facility is cleaned regularly and has a shower for those who need to go to work right after. Over the years I have referred many people to the gym as it is one of my favorite places to be, even though I HATE working out. I hope this review helps you make your decision to try Alio out! Thereās also a party from time to time if that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe guys at Alio Fitness Club are the real deal! I had gone to train at Alio for three separate summers (I listed the beginning date of the latest one in the date of service section). As a student athlete, I of course was training for endurance, agility, weight loss, and max strength. Danny helped me not only achieve all of these goals, but he was able to get me to exceed expectations! The last time I trained with Danny, I was coming off of a shoulder injury and was just trying to get back into playing shape. Danny saw a bigger picture for me, he helped me not only get back into playing condition, but I reached my personal record ever for bench press at the end of the summer! Danny really is passionate about his job and getting his client the best results possible, and he is extremely knowledgeable about nutrition as well! Danny also loves to joke around and always cracked me up and is a super humble guy (some fitness trainers can be stuck up and a bit judgy, but the guys at Alio definitely are not) they make sure to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The physical gym is also really nice! It has a really cool, energetic environment, I love the fact that the interior is all blacked out with the colored lighting, it felt like I was training in an actual night club at timesš. The music choice is also great and the speakers are awesome. I definitely recommend Alio Fitness Club to anyone looking to get in shape...
