Crowne Jewelers — Attraction in Homewood

I didn't do my due diligence, but buyer be ware. I bought a ruby ring from them. They gave me 10% the price marked. That was nice. Paid $500 for it. Took it to two other jewelers to have it assessed. Now I know there has to be a markup to make a profit. One jeweler assessed it at $275. Another said I hope you didn't pay more than $100 for it. So, just be sure you get in writing weight, true type of stone all that good stuff.

I rarely have the need for a Jeweler. When I had a unique watch that need a new battery, no one in town would touch it. I called Crowne Jewelers and the owner said to come on in. My watch has a glass front that makes it hard to take the back off for battery replacement. The owner was upfront saying, 2% of the time it is an issue and can cause damage. I agreed.
