A month ago, I dropped off a couple of popular dive computers (Suunto D9 and Suunto Cobra), my regulator, and a couple of wireless Suunto air sensors(under recall). The service took longer than the two weeks I was told to expect, so I called a couple of times after two weeks (the time they said the service would take). I was told they would call me when my equipment returned. At one month I called, they told me my equipment had been back for 9 days. They elected not to service my cobra (which I've had the battery replaced many times). I was told the last three they serviced failed shortly after. My D9 is under recall, and as far as i can tell, all they did was change the battery and none of the warranty work(firmware factory recall). My octopus wasn't reassembled, and the ports weren't blocked off with tape or port screws. The staff that operate the store are nice, but the people responsible for servicing my equipment don't appear to be competent. I'm going to take everything to another Suunto authorized repair center to check the work as well as check everything else for...
Read moreSee update below: I was the only person in this store besides 4 employees, for probably 15-20 minutes. Not 1 person spoke to me. I was clearly looking for some things. It was the most awkward experience I’ve ever had shopping. I felt like I shouldn’t be in there. I was at the PX and I wanted to see if they had a carbon steel 3 prong tip and I’m in the market for new belt. Oh well their loss.
Update: Hey brother. I’m not trying to take food out of anyone’s mouth and I know how these things impact your business. The folks you have at Schofield PX have always been extremely polite and helpful. I bumped up the review and removed mention of your competitors. I’ve seen you doing drops at Schofield you’re always out there hustling. I thought it was a generational thing and I’d let it go, my review history is almost all positive, but honestly I don’t care if it’s a generational thing. That’s not my problem. I’m old and I have a certain expectation of what customer service is, based on my past experience with you I know you share the same views. Seed you...
Read moreI had an awesome experience today at the shop. Intent was to purchase a basic open water dive rig, and I left the shop ready for my next dive. Mitch was extremely helpful from the start, he showed me not only his personal recommendations with what he used in the water, but all the options the store had to offer with pros and cons. Kennedy also shared her experiences with the same equipment, while she laid out the next pieces. Which made the whole process easy and comfortable. Brian in the meantime assisted in putting the whole rig together before leaving the shop amd even a top off on the new tank. All three of them were amazing to work with, super friendly and knowledgeable. Towards the end we scheduled a dive and they answered all my questions about future certs and how they can work together for the future. Note all my certs are through SSI and they run a PADI program. Five stars well deserved, and I will be returning to the same shop on...
