I had the best customer service by Kai today! I feel lucky that he was there to help us. My 91 year old father had been wanting a chair for awhile now and actively looking for a week. He deserves a chair that will make him happy, and as an elderly senior on a fixed income he gets thrilled with getting a special discount. Not only did Kai patiently take at least 20 minutes out of his busy day by stopping what he was doing to showcase the chair, it’s because of his kindness that compelled my dad to fall in love with this chair (seriously) and decide to purchase it. My dad moves very slowly and is hard of hearing, so it’s refreshing to find someone who shows such kindness to elderly veterans like him. Kai not only went out of his way to take the chair out of the new box, but he loaded it onto a dolly, walked us to the register, took us to Shylo (sp?) to ring up, found a $5 coupon to bring a smile to my father’s face after asking if Target gives veteran’s discounts, helped me find a coupon on my Target app, and waited with my parents at the door while I got the car. I couldn’t believe how helpful and patient he was, ensuring we had the best customer service, since many times people are too busy to go the extra mile. Kai went above and beyond. Shylo, the cashier, also brought a smile to our face to add to the happy experience. She was so kind, patient (my 87 year old mom had difficulty swiping her credit card and Shylo couldn’t have been sweeter), and gracious in helping us apply a coupon that Kai found on my app. Our entire experience in buying this chair today made us all feel like happy, lifelong Target customers! If the two employees could bring such joy to our family in one shopping trip, this is where we want to shop! Read moreWent to Target Salt Lake Honolulu this evening to buy school supplies for my grandkids. The cashier was so unfriendly. She didn't say HI but I did. As she is scanning, I pulled 2 $1 off coupons that needed to be used in the store per the item from Gel pens. I made it easy so when she scans it, she would see it already pulled and ready to scan. Nope, she ignored it!! My daughter inlaw, stopped her and pulled the coupons to her. Cashier said NOTHING! Next, she scans the last item and tells me my total of $70 something. I asked what the price was on the last item and told her it was wrong. She grabbed the item to scan again without acknowledging me. I pulled out my phone and showed her the photo of the price on the shelf. Explained to her why I took the picture. She said NOTHING AGAIN!! Did I spoke foriegn?? Then on the receipt I see an overcharge of $0.21 on a item that I bought 2 of, just different color. I went straight to customer service to show the receipt. Now the stupid part...I used my target cash of $19 and used my Redcard on the balance of $60 something and was given a gift card of $0.21...does this make sense?? Because I used a cash card that is considered like a gift card they can't refund me or credit the overage to my credit card...what happened to the $60 something I paid??? I can understand if the overage was more than my cash card amount but it was NOT... The cashier was rude, never said sorry or thank you and then this dumb gift card of $0.21????? This just made...
Read moreAs a former Minnesotan, the home of Target, this store is an embarrassment. I have never been accosted by an employee like I was here. I had 11 items to check out. They have 20 self checkouts with literally no one using them. Why you might ask? Because at this target you are limited to only 10 items. Clearly a great idea as the lines for the registers are four people deep. The three open registers that is lol. While three staff are monitoring the self check out. I heard the woman say to the other employee to go over and count my items as they were big items. Wtaf! I intentionally terrified her. I said to get away from me. I have 11 items. She was like a predator harassing me. It was so embarrassing I nearly flipped my lid on her. This store is just disgusting. To police self checkout with three staff when I was the only one using it and then to harass me. Wow.
Also they don’t honor online prices and they don’t do markdowns at all. They’re lazy af here. Like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Try and get help. And they walk away. Ask a question. They don’t care. It’s sad. I like target. I’ve been going there since I was born. I’m from MN. But these Hawaii stores are gross. The Honolulu one is filthy.
