Mattress Firm Bouganville — Hotel in Honolulu

We got our new bed from Mattress Firm Bougainville, Honolulu HI (4331 Lawehana St) . The experience started right by the door when we were greeted by a super friendly sales person,( I believe his name was Mike). He showed us multiple options and helped us figuring out what mattress would be the best for our needs. He took the time to show us multiple options and even went above and beyond when it comes to staying within out budget. When we decided for a mattress he looked for the same mattress within the clearance section and told us that there was one. We were able to get a discount on the mattress! We also got a frame, mattress cover and even a pillow that was not for sale. The pillow was just in the store for showcase but I liked it and wanted to buy it. Mike said that the pillow is not available anymore but we could get the one from the store if we want. Great move!!

That was just the first part. After the sale went through we decided on Delivery. We left contact details for coordinating the delivery and even the delivery was above and beyond! We got notified in advance that the truck is on its way and they actually stayed within the scheduled timeframe. The delivery driver was called Andrew and he and his colleague did a great job! They asked where they can park, they asked how we would like the bed to be set up and even wore masks throughout the whole process. They took great care of the product and respected our home ( by even taking if the shoes!) We're absolutely thankful for the great experience and if we would need another bed we I certainly know where to go! Please support locations outside of Honolulu, as they're just as great if not even better in their customer service!

I went into Mattress Firm not knowing the difference between pillowtop, plush, coils, or hybrids. I just needed someone to guide me through the process to help me find what I liked. Mike was just that person. He was like my mattress Sherpa, helping me navigate what would have been a confusing and overwhelming process. Throughout the process, I felt that Mike was working for ME, not the store. After showing me several options based on my sleep and comfort preferences, I narrowed my choices. Mike went a step further, offering to look through the clearance/return inventory just to see if I could save a few dollars. I had no intention of owning a pre-used mattress, but this gesture proved he wasn't trying to upsell; Mike was sincerely looking to help. Initially, I was planning to shop around. Mattress Firm happened to be the first of what was supposed to be several stops. I didn't need to go anywhere else. Mike was attentive, patient, and knowledgeable. We bonded over our love for Las Vegas and EDM. His excellent customer service made me not want to shop anywhere else. I purchased a Stearns and Foster mattress on Monday night, and it's set to be delivered on Thursday, speaking to how quickly Mattress Firm works. Moving is stressful, and I really want to thank Mike for making this part of the move stress-free. If you are on Oahu, go out of your way to go to the Lawehana St Mattress Firm. The warehouse is there, so it will have the widest availability, and, if you work with Mike, you're guaranteed the best customer service...

Alright, alright, alright, I know what you’re thinking. “Why would I go to a mattress place to buy a mattress?” I know you’re out there, because that’s me. Well, this review is for you. Do your research online, ask an AI, ask your friends and family, consider that foam mattress you’re using currently, that you bought online 5+ years ago, and come here. Talk to Marlene.

Okay okay okay okay, I know what you’re thinking. “Yeah, okay. No.” I know because I thought that as well. If you’re still here, I never felt pressured, I asked questions like I was investing the money I’m willing to invest into a mattress. I even told my partner “do not let me buy anything today, don’t let me. I’m serious.” Well, here I am writing a review and admitting to the world I did this today and I’m no longer judging myself for it. You know why? Because I experienced it and it changed my life LOL!

Marlene, Marlene, Marlene, I appreciate your patience with my “lawyer” like questioning (I hope this makes you smile) and I enjoyed you laughing with us and being real when you didn’t have to. Needless to say, I spent the time, felt comfy, asked the right questions and was never “sold to”. We have all the info at our fingertips nowadays anyway.

There’s no “selling” to me anymore. Prove me wrong. See an expert that only does this, lay on some beds and stop thinking about mattress stores the way you’ve been. Life is more...
