Good points, it's tucked away inside of a neighborhood so it's very quiet. The playground is nice and in good shape. My son enjoyed playing on the playground. The trail is lovely with the trees, lake and fountain. I enjoyed seeing the bamboo by the bridges and seeing the ducks. Fishing is allowed, it's catch and release. It was nice seeing families walking around. There are a few picnic tables and plenty of benches to sit on. Not good points, if you have a stroller and want to walk around the whole lake there are stairs. I had to take my child out of his stroller to get up the stairs. They aren't steep steps but still difficult to carry your child and stroller up stairs. Parking is a little weird. Some benches need repair as they are moldy or some benches were spray painted on. Other than that, it's a nice park to visit if you...
Read moreNice, quiet park in unexpected place, residential Hoover. A paved/boardwalk trail encircles a small lake. There is a nice playground, pavilion that could be used in a birthday party setting- and numerous benches. Would be great for outdoor reading/laptopping and for people with kids. Children will also appreciate getting up close to the ducks and sighting turtles. A sign at the entrance asks visitors not to feed the ducks. There is no restroom. There is a water fountain but I was disappointed on my visit because it was not functioning. So bring your own water for drinking and washing up! There is not a lot of space for parking which is a strip of widened street across from the park. I walked around the perimeter and down a boardwalk overlooking the lake and it...
Read moreThis lake/track/playground has the potential to be beautiful but it looks like it has been neglected over time. But It is still pretty and in a Very nice area. Not crowded but there was people fishing, kids playing on a nice playground , people jogging and walking there animals on a track that is part asphalt (cracked badly, not very flat, parts are broke off down a small hill, potential hazard due to the condition) and turns into a wood bridge/deck (could use some tlc). Weeds/bushes/trees limbs slightly over grown.
The only reason I critique it so meticoulsy is because I expected more due to the location. So take this review with a...
