The food was good but the service was super awesome. We have been to the golden Corral only one other time. That's was back on Nov 6. We were standing in line to pay for the food as you go in. The waitress we had back in Nov 6 walked by us and stopped and turned around and just started talking to us and ask us how we were and so forth. We went to the same area that we had been to before and when we got there the waitress was already and was standing next to the table where we had sat before and was asking if we wanted that table. I like to sit in a back corner when I eat out. She had remembered us from the first time we went she remembered us where we sat and even what we had to drink. As we approached the table I said "you remember us from the last time dont you? As I got to her she was reaching her arm out to me to hug her and as she put her arm around me she said yes I remember you of course. That made us feel so special that a waitress from the first time that we went there back on Nov 3 remembered us and she not only remembered us but also where we like to sit and also what we were drinking. Instead of being treated like just a customer she treated us like family and like she had known us all her life. As we proceed to leave the restaurant she saw us and said wait a minute wait and she came and said you can't leave without me getting my hug.. and as we walked away to leave she said I love y'all. Never ever have I been to a place where I have had such loving and kind service and never have I ever been treated like a member of someones family like we were tonight. I would go there any day of the week to feel such genuine love and kindness regardless of how the food was. But the food was really good to. We had the buffet and like before the salad bar was totally...
Read moreNot all Golden Corrals are as good as this one! This was truly an oasis of nutrition and amazing tastes in a sea of bland and ho-hum restaurants that charge two or even three times more money for far less quality, variety, and much longer wait times. We came at 2:30 pm, which allowed us, as seniors, to eat for $8.49 each with a free drink besides! We had two very attentive and pleasant waitresses, in spite of the fact that the place was jam packed with many other retirees taking advantage of the senior after-lunch special Early Bird pricing. Everything we tried was really tasty and fresh. I had a fried chicken breast that was perfectly cooked (tender on the inside, and crispy delicious breading on the outside) and hot and fresh from the deep fryer. It is hard to find a chicken breast that is so perfectly cooked anywhere. Usually the breasts are a bit tough and overcooked and often cold! The Mac and Cheese was tender and so creamy, their slow-cooked signature pot roast was amazingly tender and tasty, and the chocolate cream pie was to die for! The mashed potatoes were also wonderful --- definitely not tasting like they were made from instant flakes! My wife was recovering from stomach issues, and this comfort food was exactly what her stomach needed! Some people like to denigrate Golden Corrals, saying that obese people flock there like pigs to the trough! I prefer to think of it as a veritable paradise of very affordable and unlimited food options, where there is truly something for everyone! And with a little, or perhaps a lot, of self-control, this is a great place to eat healthy, and leave with a satisfied feeling, knowing deep in your heart and stomach that for once, you were...
Read more1st attempt: I ordered their Thanksgiving food in 2019 (which I did a week ahead of time), and I sat around for 15-20 minutes after my scheduled pickup time for them to get my order ready. After telling them my name, they brought me the wrong order. When they finally bought out my order, I was missing two additional things that I ordered and had to wait another 10 minutes for them to put those items together. The people are nice but it was very disorganized there. The food was very good, but it could have been a better experience.
2nd attempt: We decided to do the same thing again this year (second year in a row), and it still seems pretty disorganized. When I got to the restaurant, just like before, everyone looked shocked and confused about my order and had to scramble to get everything together. It took less time this year but it was still a mess.
3rd attempt: The food is great which is why I keep coming here, but as always, it's super disorganized and no one communicates anything to each other. I ordered a meal and was called back later and told they didn't have any dressing. I just ordered a replacement for it and moved on. When I showed up, I was told there was no order for me today and that it would be tomorrow. They decided to just go ahead and make another order for me for today but they didn't have a turkey ready, so I ordered fried chicken instead so I didn't have to wait longer or come back but still ended up waiting around for 45 minutes for everything to be gathered up and cooked for me.
This will actually be my last attempt in trying to order the holiday meals, its just such a hassle and...
