Not friendly, but knowledgeable and willing to help.
First, I believe the person to whom everyone is referring as rude and unfriendly, is the store owner, Jeremy. I could be wrong about Jeremy owning the store though.
Jeremy is British (or Aussie/Irish, but probably a Brit). If you've ever interacted with Brits, they are often direct, blunt, and lack the southern, outwardly friendly courtesy we enjoy in our Birmingham area. They are not intentionally being mean.
This is very much like our very own New Yorkers, who appear rude and mean to us southerners. I've observed Jeremy numerous times, as the first time or two I went to his store, I too felt like he was kind of an anus.
So at this point, my opinion is this: Jeremy is generally not intentionally being mean or rude. I've never seen or heard him tell a customer, "you're an idiot", or anything similar. He is curt. He may or may not greet you when you enter the store. However, he IS knowledgeable, and every time I've asked he was helpful, just not "friendly" as we normally expect.
I think Jeremy is a hobby enthusiast who happens to own a hobby store, not a business man. His prices are ok, sometimes better sometimes not.
If you need some Hobby stuff, he will probably be able to help. Just prep your mindset before you go there that it won't be a super fun, pleasing experience.

Read moreI bought one of the miniature Team associated trucks from here. I had it about 2 months and only charged it 4 times after that it never would charge again. I took it back and tried to explain to the guy at the counter what was going on but all he did was take the batteries out of the controller and said these are rechargeable they only have 1.3 v it supposed to have 1.5 to work. Well right away I knew he wasn't going to help me. He said go buy some good double A batteries. The thing ran before with the rechargeable ones and I actually changed the batteries when I seen it wasn't charging to energizer batteries and they didn't work.but he kept cutting me off telling me thats why it won't run was the batteries weren't big enough. Which is a crock.I asked if he had some batteries and he said no I'm out " remote control car store with no batteries?" So I asked what can I do if I change and they don't work and he said well I don't know well have to see. I just chalked it up as a loss. I'm not gonna keep driving 50 miles for the run around. He was just rude wouldn't...
