Pulse Premier Fitness — Attraction in Hot Springs

Thought this would be a great place since it looks very decent to go too. Was just going for one month tanning because I’d be moving the next month. Told them it would just be a one time purchase and it is now on the next month and I’m charged again. I called this morning and they answered quickly. Told them i was being charged and it was only a one time purchase and told me to go to the myiclubonline to cancel. Said that if i just wanted one month they should have cancelled it the same day because it takes up to 30 days before charging again. Which they knew and still did not cancel after i told them for a one time purchase only. Nor did they give me the information so that i would know to do it myself. Also gave me a number to call to get my refund and i talked to three different people and they all told me that the club would have to call, not me. Now it has been 3-4 hours and they still will not pick up the phone. This is very childish. If i could give them no stars i would. Just a heads up you have to cancel 30 days ahead or they’ll charge you for another month. Called again, day 2, for a refund and they took my phone number and said the manger/boss would call me later to let me know the refund went through. Never got a call. Called this morning and told me they couldn’t do anything about it(which they could, all they have to do is call the tech that they made me call and tell them to refund me.) But of course they won’t because who wants to give money back. Thanks for scamming me:) Would definitely not recommend if they are not going to give out all the information when signing up. Do not give your money to this place. Staff is extremely rude. My friend came in with me 20 minutes before they were set to close to get signed up for a membership, the guy at the counter looked at him and before my friend said a word, said “what?” then when he asked to sign up for a membership, the guy told him he had to come back during staffed hours, we told him we thought staffed hours were until 8pm. When we asked what staffed hours were he told us to google it because he wasn’t sure… On top of that, my wife and I went to cancel our memberships, and of course they give you the run around. What started with a phone call turned into a 30 minute wait just to be told I had to send a simple email. 30 minutes of my time wasted when all I had to do was send an email. When my wife called to cancel her membership, she was told she had to set up an account and fill out a form through some website they sent her to. I had her go ahead and fill the form out but I also had her send the same email that I was told to send. The form she filled out must not have mattered because we never heard anything back about that. But, the email I had her send was responded to. They tried to tell her she had to buy out her contract, which she should not have had to do that since we had been with that gym for over a year and were told we were on a month-to-month contract after the year was up. Needless to say, she spent well over an hour getting her cancellation finally situated… Please, do not waste your time or money with this company or...

Pros: A great price ($10/month) compared to most other gyms and it is nice that it is 24 hours. Staff is friendly and not overcrowded in the mornings before work. There is plenty of cardio equipment and some really nice treadmills. The pool and hot tub would be nice to use if you have a premium membership ($20/month) but you can only use it when the gym is staffed. Since I work out in the morning before they get in at 8am, I will not pay for the service. Hopefully, this can change in the future!!

Cons: A lot of the benches and machines could stand to have the covers redone because they are tearing apart. There is a section of floor by the bench presses that is about 3 inches lower than the rest of the floor and it makes you trip all the time in that area. The water fountain is not convenient to fill up your shaker bottle. They could put in a new fountain that is made to fill up bottles! The showers have a soap dispenser but they do not keep soap in them so you have to bring your own. The pool hours are not convenient for everyone. It could stand to have better upkeep and maintenance to keep things looking sharp but nothing major.

Summary: I will up the stars if the pool hours can be changed, soap dispensers stocked in showers, new fountain, and floor leveled out. Top that off with better upkeep and you would...
