I took my granddaughter tonight. The service can't be beat but the food is really not that good. I ordered 13 with a tamale, beef burrito and chile relleno. I ate maybe an 1/2 of burrito and tamale and ate all of the chile relleno. It was buried in Queso, the waitress ask me if I wanted queso or chili sauce on it but I had no idea that it would be buried in queso. There was no flavor in the 3 things I ordered, it was totally missing that mexican flavor that I love so much. My granddaughter ordered chef's special which is shown in picture and it was floating in sauce. I couldn't even see that avocado in it there was so much sauce all over it. She didn't mind it but she is young and her taste buds haven't developed well yet. She couldn't taste the cilantro in their hot sauce, where I could and it was one thing that I did enjoy because it had the flavor I was looking for in everything else. I have been looking for a mexican restaurant that serves good mexican or Tex Mex in Hot Springs and I haven't found a good one yet. I will continue to look. Their is hardly any wait time on the food (but there weren't too many people in there either) waitress was great but the food was just average. Not anything I would want to try again. I didn't even want a go box, I just left it. I knew I wouldn't eat it, that's why I left it. The picture below is of my granddaughters meal. I don't know why they have...

Went for the first time last week at a large family gathering and found it absolutely amazing. The food was all delicious! The queso and guacamole was mouth watering. The salsa wasn't obnoxiously chunky and had a good amount of heat and seasoning. I would visit for the chips dip and a margarita alone. I ordered a tamale dinner and was beyond happy with the flavor and texture. The dessert selection is so large and it all looks so good, so I'll definitely be back to mark each option off the list ☺️. I personally tried the fried cheese cake and it was truly heavenly. The portion sizes are no joke either the combos come with rice and some delicious beans. For the size of our party the service was polite and good about keeping drinks, chips and dip all fresh. The place had a fun and welcoming atmosphere. They also have an outdoor patio with hanging lights that looks like the perfect place for drink or meal on a warm night. It fits for a variety of occasions from girls night, to date night, to...

So, i had a wonderful day with all my friends at magic springs, and we decided to go to Don Juans afterwards. The food was good, and the waiter was awesome. However, when we checked out my friends went first and i gathered my stuff from the table and then went to check out. The lady at the front said my friends paid my bill. I didn't even ask her, i went up there with money in hand and thats what she said. Im like okay, cool, my friends are awesome like that anyway. So i went home. At 10:30pm we get a phone call from hot springs police department saying i need to come pay my bill. Like really...... Im at home in my bed with my FOUR kids, and i have to get up and use my gas because some lady had her people mixed up or something. And the thing is i didnt mind coming back to pay if indeed noone has paid it, but you call the cops like you just been robbed!!! So needless to say, im disappointed and it will be a long while before...

Great Tex new. Atmosphere is nice and dark, Cozy booths. Everyone is very friendly and the service is fast. There is outside seating with a Small, caged in patio that overlooks the parking lot. Living here my whole life, this place has been a staple restaurant in Hot Springs since I can remember. The menu gets better over time as they add more authentic dishes which I appreciate so much. They have Delicious veggie sopas and the salsa is really good too. Only downside I have had is the The shrimp cocktail was a little mushy and small compared to others in town. Go here for the nice, romantic ambiance (booths), friendly staff, and good Tex mex.
