Shamrock Motel Hot Springs — Hotel in Hot Springs

We had to stand at the registration desk waiting to check in @3 pm. Ended up calling the motel & finally getting the man to come check us in after waiting an additional amount of time. We didn't get to the room till 3:53. We didn't take tripadvisors tip to check the room before check in :0( we should have! As soon as we opened the door the smell of chemicals & room freshener smacked you in the face & it wasn't a pleasant smell either, like they were trying to cover something up. Made it hard to breath, burned our throats & made our eyes burn. The chair in the room was stained with many different things. The bathroom still had hair ties & hair on the floor from prior guests. || Went directly to the front desk to let them know that it wasn't in a condition to stay & we needed a refund nicely. Refused my refund bc I had used booking.com & the cancelation policy stated you had to cancel one day before you stay. It's not like we were a "no show" we had checked in, it's not our fault the room wasn't inhabitable. So my bank is fighting the charges made. ||Please please please!!!! CHECK THE ROOM BEFORE YOU CHECK...

!!!!!DO NOT STAY AT THIS DUMP!!!!!!! This place charged $80 for one night and the conditions of the room was absolutely DISGUSTING to say the least.. the ac/heater was covered in mold..the towels in the bathroom were 3 floor towels that were covered in black stuff, the sheets were horrifying..there was a roll a bed in the closet that looked like a murder was committed on it.. the shelves above the sink were covered in I don't even know what, the Dresser was broke..couldn't even use it.. the fridge was so nasty I didn't even want to touch it.. the walls were covered in just stains all over the place.. u truly don't even want to know what the bathroom looked like..trust me it was just as bad.. when I asked for a refund they refused so needless to say I did NOT stay at this place and was out $80 so I took pics and he'll here u go... P.s. the bed are only messed up from taking pics and lifting the sheets to look i did not even sit on...

Last year I stayed here for bike rally, everything was a 5 star rating. This year the managers where very rude. One night i got bit by bugs (not bed bugs) had my eye swollen shut, went to doctor and confirmed it was some kind of bug or spider i was allergic to. They just insisted I didn't not get them in their room. Anyway they did give me a new room of equal size, BUT they were very rude my whole stay there. I never smoked inside, they accused me of that, and they just always seemed to turn their nose up like I was to much hassle for them.
