Dr. Cybele C. Woon, MD — Attraction in Houston

(This is Bonnie Jo Barron replying)) September 12 was my first visit with Dr. Woon. My husband went with me as he often does for important appointments. I have been having major issues with my eyes for a long time but in November of last year, I developed Double vision of a very specific kind. My cornea surgeon, Dr.Al Mohtaseb, referred me to Dr. Woon for a consultation visit. Dr. Woon is amazing; brilliant understands everything, no need for patient to explain in deep detail as Dr. Woon reviews patient’s chart and notes thoroughly and is aware of situation and ask very good questions of the patient to assure she understands everything correctly. we were amazed at how well the appointment went and with how quickly although very thoroughly she completed the exam to determine exactly what is going on with my double vision. As we had discussed with my cornea surgeon about having my left eye worked on next year in 2025 Doctor Woon let us know that it was better to go ahead and have the cornea surgery first to see if that helps at all with the double vision . Doctor swoon stated that if the double vision continues as it has been for the past 10 months, then we will come back and visit with Dr. Woon . Doctor Woon did order a brain MRI as she has a strong feeling. It may be a nerve palsy issue that is causing the double vision. She put the order in immediately and the MRI for my brain is already scheduled for next week. This was all very comforting and a very good sign should we need to go further with the double vision. We are very confident that Dr. Woon will be a perfect surgeon to perform any procedure or surgery necessary. I highly recommend Doctor Woon to anybody. Dr Woon has been my ophthalmologist for 8 years. During that time I have had numerous vision problems including floaters, optical migraines, and vitreous degeneration. In addition, my refractions have been difficult because I have astigmatism. Dr Woon has always been patient and very thorough in my examinations so that I receive the best prescription possible for my progressive lenses and for my contact lenses. When I had a bleed in my right eye from a vitreous detachment 3 months ago on a Sunday I called Dr Woon's answering service and she called me back in less than 10 minutes and I got an appointment for the next morning. I couldn't ask for better service from a medical professional.

I have also been seeing Dr Woon for Botox injections to eliminate frown lines on my forehead. I have probably had 5 or 6 Botox sessions over the last few years and have been very pleased with the results. I plan to have more Botox sessions in the future. Dr. Woon is an absolute joy. She is one of the friendliest doctors I have ever been to; full of energy and also incredibly knowledgeable. My neurologist referred me to her and I was able to get in within a couple weeks, even considering the Thanksgiving holiday. She made me feel like I was the only patient in the clinic, and took plenty of time to answer any questions we had. She was the 5th doctor I'd seen over a multiple month span due to some inexplicable pain in my eyes, vision issues and headaches. I was starting to feel hopeless until she walked in the room. She immediately knew what was going on and was able to work up a treatment plan for me. I can't even begin to describe the relief she provided for me both mentally and physically. Finally a Doctor with answers!!
