Having spent 23 years in the real estate industry and eight years as a director for Public in Florida, I understand the critical role that exceptional customer service plays. Unfortunately, my recent visits to this H-E-B location have left me concerned. Strengths For this location... Impressive Meat Department: The meat department stands out, offering quality cuts and freshness that meet high standards. Areas for Improvement... Staff Interaction: Regrettably, the overall customer service falls short. Friendly and attentive interactions seem lacking, impacting the overall shopping experience. Management Accountability: The blame lies squarely with management. For four months, I’ve observed a consistent gap in addressing customer needs. Recommendation: Heights Over This Location: Personally, I find myself opting to drive to the Heights H-E-B. The service there is more reliable, and the overall experience feels smoother. Management Intervention: Let’s hope the management team takes corrective action promptly. A well-run store can make all the difference, especially for clients moving into the area. while I appreciate H-E-B’s reputation, this specific location needs improvement. As someone who values exceptional service, I hope they address these issues swiftly. 🛒🏠

Awesome grocery store, I love the DIVERSITY in the staff and everyone works arduously and well together. From the people who maintain the store clean to management, do a phenomenal job. They keep good security in the parking lot but ladies, please don’t make it easier for thieves. (I say ladies bc we are targeted more than men for obvious reasons) Be situationally aware when loading your groceries and pay attention to your kids, they’re not the security guard for your groceries so don’t leave them in the basket as you load the groceries into your car. Kids go in the car first🙂, or ask for help loading your bags at check out, and please DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PURSES IN THE GROCERY CART and walk away 🤦🏻‍♀️ It would be nice if they would be consistent in the products that they offer and keep them stocked. Also, it would help if they stopped moving stuff around. When I don’t find what I am looking for, I am hopeful that they probably moved it, but it’s not there either. 😭 Pay the cart guys more in the summer, it’s hot out there 🥵 Lastly, check the bottom of your baskets y’all! I’ve found things there several times and taken it inside. Hopefully you went back for it. ¡Gracias!

As a local realtor and expert in the Houston market, I've visited numerous H-E-B stores in the area. My recent visit to this particular H-E-B was a mixed experience. The **meat department** was excellent, providing very good service. The **sushi department** was super friendly and helpful. I found everything I needed in the store, which was great. However, the service in the **baking aisle** could use some improvement. It took 10 minutes for an employee to assist me, which was disappointing. It seemed as if they didn't notice me or realize that they had a customer waiting. What surprised me was the behavior of the floor supervisor. Having worked for Kroger's in my teenage years, I know that phones were never allowed on the floor. Yet, at this H-E-B, the floor supervisor was on his phone, not paying attention to his baggers or cashiers who needed assistance. This is something that H-E-B management should address. Overall, while some employees could improve their service, others were exceptional. I will continue to recommend H-E-B for its quality products, especially from the meat and sushi departments.

So I went to the meat counter, I said I'd like some Mesquite turkey she said would you like H-E-B brand or Boarshead. I said which ones the expensive one she said Boarshead. I said I will take Boarshead. Then she said to me do you want Boarshead? I said yes that was the second time then she looked at me again and she said Borishead. So then I thought to myself does she not understand me since she said it three times there was a gentleman behind me and I think maybe he was a supervisor of some sort he said to me are you OK? I turned And said I'm great I said are you OK? He said are you having a problem? I said I'm not having a problem. I said I said to her three times what I would like a pound and a half of mesquite boars head turkey and she's having a problem understanding me. I don't know if she doesn't know English. I don't know what the problem is, then she gave me the turkey, which was only 1 pound I said how much is it? She said 1 pound. I said it looks like 1 pound. I said a pound and a half at this time the man behind me starts being rude to me like it's my fault I said to I've been in sales over 20 years and I have an online jewelry business. I would never treat my customers rudely at this point. The woman looked at me. Like it was my fault that she wasn't listening to me. At that time I had enough, I simply turned around, took a huge amount of eggs out of my basket Latham aside. And walked out of H-E-B and I called my friend who works for H-E-B and who works for one of the owners my friend remodels H-E-B's and I told him if I could talk to the guy that he works for the owner of H-E-B and he said yes, and so I talked to him, and I explained to him how rudely I was treated he apologized for the actions of his store I said, sir it wasn't your fault. I said when customers are violated, there's corruption in the system. I certainly was violated. I don't know what's going on in that counter, but they weren't very nice to the person who makes sure they have a job . I am white I am. I was very kind to the lady behind the counter. I was also very kind to the guy behind me. Who is trying to blame me for all this. I'm sure other people has been in positions where this has happened and here's what I have to say, just walk out and make a complaint like I did. I am the reason why they have a job they should never ever blame me for something I didn't do. I'm not behind the meat counter not the one making a mistake and giving the customer when they ask for a pound and a half , I'm not the one behind the counter asking three times if it's Boris had turkey that I want God bless HB and God bless Owner and God bless my...

I'll agree the produce is amazing at this store, but that's about it. Every time I've been to this store and find an item on sale, I take of picture of the item/bar code and sale sign as I'm always charged full price if I don't have the proof. This has happened almost every time I've shopped here. Also, I bought expensive Green Protein Powder, and I noticed it was old and stale when opened it. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM: Management. If one of their employees rear ends you in the parking lot, immediately call 911 to file a police report. This happened to me, the employee spoke no english so I had to speak what little spanish I knew. The employee kept trying to leave the scene. Finally, several managers came to her rescue..one male manager was very rude. My bumper had paint removed, and the security guard standing by said to see the cameras. (Like the proof is in the cameras) I was given her insurance info, when she said her last name, the manager told her "No....your last name is...xxxxx" I called & filed a claim and was given a claim #. The next day I entered the claim # on that insurance's website, and there was no record of it. Finally, after a week & 1/2 passed, I contacted the insurance rep over the case and was told she wasn't allowed to see the video, but "the manager" lol...told her that it was my fault. (The driver and I both know that wasn't the truth) As I told her to request the video of the event, she danced around the question and said, "Oh, I don't know.. It's tied up in some department..I can't see it" Hmmmm... I could have gone and filed a police report, etc..and seen the video, though I have little time on my hands and decided to fix it myself.. Plus, I did not want an incident on my record since my record is squeaky clean. In short, yes..the produce is excellent, though they are stealing from their customers by lying about the prices, and they do not care about the customers. (Plus, I've never seen a cashier smile..very sad) I'll never go back...

New to Houston Texas, First visit to H.E.B food store, walked in was impressed one manager was approaching me I informed him it was my first visit asked several questions about the store he was extremely friendly and well knowledge about the store he was dressed professional but I didn't get his name. As I walked throughout the store found everything I needed, also had conversation with the employees at the meat department was knowledgeable about the type of meats I was looking for. Now the horrible experience was when I was cashing out. I was directed to go to the cashier by a H.E.B employee I went where he directed me to cash out. The cashier name was Malessa she was friendly at first, when I made her aware that I needed her to cut off the belt because I didn't want my food to be crushed, she refused she made a statement that she works in 15 items or less and don't bag food. Now I am getting mad I worked to hard for my money to have my food crushed. She waves to someone they came and started bagging my food but she refused to stop the belt and started ringing up the food even faster. She really pist me off, I paid for the food found a manager went to her station and showed him what she did to my food while I was talking to Adrian she was crushing the next person food and they had bags of potatoes chips. She started talking to me while I was talking to Adrian the manager I did say something back to her. People like her that doesn't care about protecting someone food shouldn't be around customers, she needs to be behind the seen. This shouldn't have happened she could have respected my request and protect my food it wasn't that she couldn't she just didn't care in my opinion. I will return back to the store but will make sure I don't have this problem happen...
