My overall experience is 3stars, maybe 3.5. The reason I could not give Shaftel Diamond 5 stars is due to the sales person...Meghan! Let me first say, my end result is great and I am very pleased. However, the process was NOT so much! This was due to Meghan's lack of communication and miss handling of my money (losing my payments twice!). I had been making monthly payments on my ring and DIDNOT miss a payment EVER for a whole year. At some point during December 2016, I noticed that 2 payments were missing. I called and told her about it and she said something about they went to a new system (blah blah blah) still not a reason to lose thousands of dollars!!! I told her to look it over, find all my payments, and send me an email. She did and confirmed her amount again. I had to go to Shaftel and show MY receipts and confirm her mis handling of my money with the email that she sent me in my hand. Her response to me was... it was around Christmas and we were busy. WHAT THE?!?! So after that experience I was NOT feeling her at all. She seemed dishonest and unapologetic. Fast forward, it's time to pick up my rings...they added a stone to one and made me an anniversary band. She called my husband and said that my rings are ready. When I get there, at least 30 minutes away from my house, only one ring is ready! She presented it to me like, "Here are your rings!" WHAT?!?! One ring was ready and the other is the one I left for them to use to match up my wedding band... no work had to be done. This could have been handled with a phone call to communicate that everything was NOT ready before I get all excited and make the drive. It was very anti-climactic! I honestly think she forgot to get it made. Who does that?! Tell you your stuff is ready but a complete ring is missing?! And at one point she told me, "we can't release your rings until they are paid in full." Am I an idiot?! That was the 3rd craziest thing she said to me! This is the second time I have dealt with Shaftel and the main reason I came back was due to the first great experience (I dealt with the owner). I have even sent them customers that have made several purchases. Well, all I can say if I use them again I will NOT deal with Meghan. SAD! She left a very bad and sad...

I had the BEST experience working with Ampi at Shaftel Diamonds while shopping for the ideal engagement ring. Ampi was highly recommended by all my local friends who have shopped for engagement rings with her and she exceeded all expectations by far!

Shopping for the ideal wedding ring can be daunting, so much to know and so many sellers out there. The centerpiece: the right diamond characteristics, the right pricing; the setting: size, material, balance… Ampi was amazingly knowledgeable and made the process feel smooth and expedited.

I had a very clear idea of what my future wife wanted. Ampi worked patiently with me to develop a custom setting and worked her relationships to help me find the ideal centerpiece to match the setting. She was extremely resourceful and helpful, and most importantly, she put my needs first and never tried to oversell me on anything (as other jewelers I tapped onto early in the process did).

The setting design process was transparent and smooth. I sent Ampi and her team the characteristics we wanted on the setting and they quickly turned around high quality render to hep us visualize the product. After some quick iterations we arrived at the final design, and within 3 weeks I received the final product.

I could not be any happier with the outcome. The ring is beautiful, perfectly crafted and matching every single detail I discussed with Ampi and her team. Now I just need to get ready for the next step. I will revisit this post once I get the feedback from my GF…

I would give Shaftel a rating of 10 if I could. My fiancé and I were ring shopping and visited at least 5 jewelers. We were dead set on a particular jeweler and were done shopping around, but went to visit Shaftel given that we had an appointment set up already. After meeting with Meaghan, we started to question our previous decision due to how impressed we were and we set up subsequent appointments. We ultimately decided to go with Shaftel to create her engagement ring - we could NOT be happier! My fiancé wanted a unique ring created for her, and Shaftel did not disappoint. Admittedly, the ring was a bit complicated and required a lot of collaboration and patience. However, the ring came out better than we could have imagined. My fiancé absolutely LOVES the ring. Chau, the master designer, is a true craftsman and his work is detailed and masterful. He helped make my fiancé’s vision come to life when it seemed like it was just an ambitious idea. This was my first experience with ring shopping and I anticipated the process to be a bit painful. It turned out to be a wonderful and informative experience. We will definitely be going back should we decide to shop for other forms of jewelry. As for Meaghan, you won’t be able to find a better person for your ring shopping experience. She made our experience a quite enjoyable one. Meaghan is a gem of a person - personable, knowledgeable, patient, humorous, and beyond helpful. Meaghan was very transparent during the entire process (pricing, expectations, timelines, etc.), which I would imagine is a rarity in the diamond and jewelry industry.
