This hotel has little redeeming about it—the bed and truly blackout curtains was about it and as that is critically important at a hotel I’ll give it two stars. Normally I’d try to provide some constructive feedback to increase review ratings, however I think 4.1 stars is much too high already.
Suffice to say that the hotel appears to have been remodeled by someone who failed to determine they had neither design sense nor construction ability. It’s a mishmash of poor quality materials and workmanship.
Location wise, you’re in a business park with an abandoned mall across the street and it’s surprisingly far to the airport.
Finally, the service across the board was poor—if you get someone to greet you or look you in your eyes much less smile you should buy yourself a lotto ticket because you’d be lucky.
Bottom line, avoid at all costs unless it’s incredibly cheap and the only thing you need is sleep.
Edited: somehow this hotel has gone down in value and cleanliness in the last months. My curtains failed to reach the sill, there was no dead bolt, the clock radio was for an iPod (seriously), the public areas were absolutely disgusting (see carpet in stairs off the lobby), the closet in my room was only 10 inches wide at full open, and there was no hot water.
Overall, a disgrace of a property. If you get a single hotel employee to greet you with anything but anger I’d be surprised. I stay in hotels regularly and this is one of the worst in the country I’ve been at in the last 24 months. Stay...
Read moreThis was my 2nd time staying at this location. Both times I stayed because I was attending the Angels Surviving Breast Cancer prayer breakfast. The hotel is nice especially the lobby/bar area but the rooms are just okay. On this last visit the lighting in my room was very dim. The main lights behind the bed which should have lit up the room pretty good were only blinking. I was told the part was on back order. Once it got dark outside it was gloomy looking inside. The lighting in the bathroom were also dim which made applying makeup somewhat difficult. Most hotels have microwaves in the rooms but here you have to go dow the hall by the elevators which makes late night snacking/eating kind up underwhelming. You have to get dressed to go down the hall. The food that was served at the breakfast was cold the 1st year & the bacon & sausage undercooked. This time my sausage & bacon was so raw that I couldn't eat either. I told four different servers & was told I would get my meat replaced but that never happened. So I only enjoyed the potatoes & fruit. Decaf coffee wasn't readily available on either time so I just did without. The Club Sandwich & fries that I ordered after I asked the bartender what was good, was absolutely great. I would go to that Hilton just to get that sandwich again, even though it's out of my way when I'm visit Houston. I was very appreciative that receptionist that checked me in extended my checkout time for an hour since I was going to still be in my...
Read moreMy reservation was a guaranteed handicap accessible room with a roll in shower. Upon arrival the front desk said they had no such rooms available. Being in a wheelchair any other room is unacceptable and I told her that. She spent about 15 minutes looking for a handicap room and finally sent me to room 1541.. I went to the room which is at the farthest end of the hall from the elevator and went in. The room had a tub. Back down to the front desk. Another 30 minutes while she looked for a room. Finally she sent someone to look at another room and radioed back it was a roll in shower room. Upon entering the room the air conditioning system was not working. Kept say ERR. The roll in shower had no shower chair. When I went to dinner, the other front desk receptionist said they had none. I asked why they didn't have it bolted to the wall in that kind of room. She had no idea. Upon my return, someone else said they found a chair and it was in my room. When I moved the shower curtain I found a used washcloth on top of the shower rod. I asked for the hotel managers card and they had none. The receptionist wrote down the email for the front office manager, Clinton Groce. I emailed my concerns o him and never got a reply. Horrible customer experience at a...
