Holy Name Catholic Church — Attraction in Houston

This is a wonderful church. The pastor-Father Thomas-is very caring and considerate. He goes out of his way to be there for his parishioners. My mother passed away last month. She had been a long-time parishioner of Holy Name when she lived in the neighborhood. It was most appropriate to have her funeral mass celebrated at this church. Father Thomas was wonderful and so was Rick (Jesse) Cobian who assisted us with her rosary and mass celebration. Mom's mass was beautiful, peaceful, and filled with the presence of the Lord. Añil is not a good man in my eyes! I went to him when it was time to baptize to my nephew, he treated me terribly. He told me I wasn’t a child of god at the time I was going through Cancer thank god I was seeing the priests at MD Anderson and faith has always been strong. Añil made sure to tell me I wasn’t saved in his words what kind of priest does that. If I had been a weak person in the state I was in anything could of happened but I’m not weak. I called this Church seeking assistance. The Pastor answers the phone and I tell him I'm a hurricane harvey survivor. He say no we don't help !!! I advised him that maybe he should ask what I needed help with before he says no. He say well people call me all the time and I can't help. This is sad and so cold !
