Pastor can know the word of God. He can have a sweet personality. He is careful not to step on oeoples toes. He always talks about being positive ant that everything will fall right into place if you just think positive. He believes His will give you everything youborat for. He forgwts that God gives what he sees best for us. He has a huge church and feels that all the money raked in us a gift from God. He fails to see that a board sets his salary. He takes in millions and thus donates lots to causes. If I took in $20 millions year, I could operate the church on 5 mil., donate 5 mil., invest 5 mil., and have 5 mil. to myself. Is he worth what he is paid is the question. Lots ifvoeopke know the Bible very well, but they just don't have tv, mega church, and those who flick to him just because he's popular. Yes, he caught on because people love to hear positive messages and be told they'll be rich, be problem free, and have meaga peace if they just pray and tithe. What about those who pray, to the and live with integrity and still just make a blow average salary? Ehat about those who try hard but just don't have the mental capacity to land a job as a Lawyer, CPA, CEO, Chef at a 5 star restaraunt. Doctor, Dentist, scoop Superintendent, etc. -- all well paid. Did they not "get in" with God? I don't think God operates this way. Joel lives in top 25% of Americans group financially. He gets books published because if who he his. They sell because many desire his life style and think that by reading his books and trying to copy him they'll be like him one day -- very wealthy. Lots of psychologists have told us what Joel preaches, but they just didn't credit God. What about preaching all the Bible, the hard times, the sin, those who followed God and st experienced a hard life? Sometimes those on their pedistools need to walk in the shoes of the not so wealthy. They need to see the world through the eyes of the less fortunate. It's not just a quick prayer and you are magicaly wealthy, hav3 all the smarts if the brightest people, or no physical ailments. Yes, many believe in miracles, but tell Hid he failed if he doesn't heal one, give him meaga wealth, and exceptional learning capacity. Dome of the most faithful to God still struggle. Let's not forget about them because they aren't in the world's "elite club". You bought your wife's 200k sports care because it's "my money" and "I can do with it as I choose". The question is, what does God think? Wise spending, or self gratification? All will answer in the end. Yes, we all answer. To those who are truly doing right by God's standards, Hid says he has a special reward for them on Heaven. Sure, Heaven will be nice for all who enter. The Bible does ask "will you get your full measure"" when you get to Heaven. I don't know what that exactly will be, but evidently some will and some won't. So be wise with your ministry. You bought the sports car for your wife, you live with that decision. Was that what the Lord wanted you to do with $200k? It doesn't set well eith some. Oh, are they judging you? You may think so. Some are just doing as the Bible teaches, weighing the issue and asking God to let them know if they need to contribute to you church or tithe elsewhere. They give in hopes that church does right things. True, it's your money once you get the check, but it's the church board that pays you big bucks, outside of all your book contracts and speaking engagements. Where does the church get it's money, from tithes. I'm sure the board I vest that money too. I'm sure you have financial people who attend just for the purpose of wanting a price if that money you take in each week. Those financial people make mo ey of your church.
