Iâve given this establishment more money than I want to admit and left with injuries on two occasions. One which lead to scarring. In the beginning I wasnât exactly pleased with my total experience because I every time I visit I never know how much Iâm going to pay. When I ask during the service itâs like Im sinning. The techs say they will tell you but donât. Iâve seen them hold conversations amongst other staff or front desk after which lead to stares. Or maybe one complimentary drink. (Iâve experienced none to multiple depending on the day). I got to the point where I ask once and just wait until I check out. But I think itâs fair to tell the person how much money their service will cost them. Not surprise them at the end. Example. I was told on check itâs 60 dollars for a simple fill. Plain. But on check out I was told another price. didnât have extra that day. How embarrassing. When I got a overlay on my own nails I said I felt pain near the cuticle. The tech stated she didnât cut me but would file it down. I still felt pain. I was not cute but it felt really tender to touch. Front desk looked over it and said you should be fine because I was not cut. Well the next day my skin was bleeding and the proximal nail fold of the eponychium was being pulled because the powder was too closely filled. I went back and told them about. Because this could cause a terrible infection. I was given a refund (they kept the tip), a few green drops & a bandaid. I wanted weeks to go back. I honestly did not want to be injured again. After so time I decide to try a male tech instead. For me & my daughter (7) I booked Leo and whomever to service us over Easter weekend. They began my pedi and my nails. I had to ask several times for someone to start my daughters services bc I did not want to have to leave her in the pedicure area. My pedi tech n Leo both had to remind the staff several times. Eventually after many otters started and finished someone came to do her. In that time Leo began. And before he finished he re-sanded two nails. Painted then again. And when done the dust was all over. Instead of using the soft brush to sweep the dust away he used a block nail. He literally scrapped my wrist. Grabbed it as I said ouch and smoothed it by pressing it down. Telling me that I was ok. Nothing was on me but I felt some pain. So I got up to pay (daughter still being serviced) and found it to be $230. Wow. Ok. But to go home and my wrist begins to swell like a mosquito bite, begin to feel terrible about giving them another chance only to leave with injury. Before I left I had the âmanagersâ number for nail photos. I let her know what happened and she said she spoke with Leo and they would do better to be careful next time. No discount or anything else. Two days later (3 days after ) those two nails he went back over the polish and design completely lifted in the area. I am sorely disappointed with this establishment. It looks pretty, is high priced and the quality is just not there. I come for self care. Not to be abused! Over & over by different techs. This is suppose to be a nail shop. Not a chop shop. I need a refill now and Iâm so afraid of being priced gouged and injured I donât know what to do or go. Why is the owner not addressing the problem. Seems like all they care about is getting paid & tipped. Safety is not their...
Read moreI had a really bad experience here more than a year ago, but I decided to go back to Milano because theyâre really close near me. However, I will not be going back to Milano after my last experience. I went in last Saturday to get Gelx nails done. I was kind of nervous about the tech they gave me because he seemed confused about how to work the gelx lights that cure your nails. However, i thought maybe he was new and didnât say anything. Everything seemed okay until he started painting my nails. First, I realized that he didnât pick up the color I had asked for. I asked for a light pink color, indicating the # of the nail polish I wanted. As he was painting my nails, I noticed he had grabbed another pink color that looked similar to the color I had selected but it wasnât the same. I didnât say anything because he had already started painting my nails and i donât want to make a fuss about something that seemed like such a minor issue. After he had completed a second layer of nail polish on my gel x nails and put the top coat on, he took the electric file drill and filed off the bottom half of all the nails that had been freshly polished!!!! I have no idea why he did this and I regret not speaking up. I was very CLEARLY agitated when he started doing this because never in my three years of getting Gelx has a nail tech took an electric file after completely painting them, to remove half of the nail polish on each nail. After he finished using the electric drill to take off half off the nail polish, he repainted the bottom half of every single nail, which created a really awful bubble effect that you can see in the pictures I attached. When I was checking out the girl asked if everything was okay and honestly it wasnât but the nail tech was hanging around the front of the store and I didnât feel comfortable saying I was unhappy with him overhearing. After I paid, the nail tech left to the back and the manager of the store came over and looked at my nails and asked if everything was okay. This is when I expressed my disappointment with my nails. I told her the nail tech took an electric file after he completed the nail polish and filed down every single nail, creating a very weird bubbly look, which I attempted to show her. She told me âthatâs the processâ but Iâve been coming to Milano for 2 years and never once have I had a nail tech do this. Initially I wasnât planning to leave a review but I paid $90 for nails, which is VERY expensive, and I had to get my nails redone not even a week later. I also expressed my concerns before leaving but instead of listening to my concerns the manager tried to tell me that everyone does this process and blew off my concerns, so I think this review is warranted. Please do not contact me to come back for a removal or to get them redone. I am...

I am a faithful customer here at this location and I have even suggested and brought many people here as well, however, today, I did not have the best experience with my services. First let me say Tiffany did my toes and she did great as always. Julie did my hands and although she was very apologetic, she drilled one of my nails entirely too hard and it caused burning and pain. Below you will see a photo. Now, I am one to normally not complain nor create problems in order to get some type of compensation but in this instance I believe this was not handled as it shouldâve been. I barely had any movement if any at all and jumped super hard and made a loud noise when the incident occurred. I even called some of the staff over to show them. Originally, the owner only offered $10 off due to there being conflicting stories (Julie stated I did some type of movement that caused her to do that and I did no such thing) however I had told the staff they could run the cameras back, a photo and all. The story Julie told was not true and I was very disappointed. There have been many other times where I had minimal movement such as using my free hand to check a message, etc but THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED. With all of this being said, I did feel I shouldâve gotten a very different result however due to me normally leaving google reviews which provides points as a reward per the facility, I ended up using my percent off in addition to another $10 off by the manger in order to get what I felt shouldâve been done in the first place. This did not leave the best impression for me and now I am contemplating on if I will even recommend this place to people anymore. I love majority of the staff that Iâve come in contact with and this just shows that no matter how faithful or good you are to a business, when they are at fault they still wonât provide you with the solutions you deserve. If it were me, I either wouldâve voided the payment for the nails (for my hands) entirely or took a huge percentage or dollar amount off. Welp, the deed is done. Hopefully this will not happen moving forward.
**For reference I believe my initial total overall was $140-145 (for gel x and shellac pedicure combined) and this is not uncommon for me. My totals have always ranged from $110-150 based upon my services...
