My first time here today! Was looking for a new nail home since my go-to has recently declined in quality and I was in need of a fill/pedicure. I was able to snag a same-day appointment on a Sunday so I was thrilled. I was immediately greeted and everyone was so friendly/attentive. I had like three staff working together to find the perfect match to my color powder base 😂
I had a design in mind and also wanted to go from oval to almond shape without adding any length- Arvin completely understood what I was asking and delivered!! He was meticulous with my nails and they look amazing. Jenny worked on my toes and I got a spa pedicure with gel polish. It was really great - my feet feel new again and my toes came out just the way I wanted them.
Also I loved that I was quoted the price before the services started!! I am always so nervous going to a new salon that there are hidden fees (reshape, gel take off, etc.) so you expect to pay $40 and it’s actually $80 when you get to the counter, so I really appreciated their transparency.
Overall I paid $142 in total - powder refill + design on 10 nails + reshape + one nail repair was $73 and the higher end spa pedicure was $49 plus gel polish upcharge ended up being $69. To most people, that might be a bit too much but keep in mind, I upgraded at every possible opportunity! There are much more affordable services on their menu. Could have I gotten cheaper services? Yes. But am I extra and like to spoil myself? Also yes. And the results speak for themselves!! I...
Read moreI wanted to try a new nail place so I gave this place a shot. I made an appointment on Wednesday with Kim and I arrived about 10 mins late and was serviced by Arvin.
He did a good job on my dipped natural nails but by Friday the top coat was chipping. He used the gel top coat and cured it with the light. So I walked in on Saturday about 3:30pm to have him fix it. This salon is not equipped to handle walk ins and it wasn't packed either. A lady was before me and she ended up walking out due to waiting so long. Anyways, Arvin filed the top coat down and started to put the same type of top coat he did before...the one that chipped! I had to stop him and ask if he could use something different because I didn't want to come back a 3rd time in the next 3 days for the same fix.
So he said he will use the clear dipping top coat instead and that there are two methods to of top coat. Once he was done, he put some oils on my nails and said he was done and if I have any more issues to come back and he will fix it. I told him I would like to avoid coming back a 3rd time for a fix.
Knocked off 2 stars. 1 for having to come back and 1 for having to stop him from using the same product that caused me to come back.
Will I return for a second appointment. I...
Read moreI hadn't had my nails done professionally in ages, and when I walked in for my appointment, I really wasn't sure what I wanted. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, informed me of the benefits of each type of nail treatment, without coming off as pushy or trying to upsell me anything. Arvin did an outstanding job applying my acrylic set. I love them - thank you Arvin!! ❤️ I will absolutely return to Shine Envision for other treatments in the future.
Edit: Be sure to verify how much everything will cost before they get to work. Website said a full set of acrylics was $45 but I was charged 70-something after reading my credit card statement (not including the 10% new customer discount). I didn't get any addons and it was a simple all-over one color sport length set. 👍
Edit 2: Not once was I made aware of the add-on charges, nor the final cost of my treatment before the work was done. The only price-related thing that was mentioned was that the dip was more expensive than the...
