My complaint is about a very rude attitude to me. I was working in the garden room or study room on Saturday afternoon and some 10' before the library was getting closed, an employee lady came in the room rushing me out, way too mean. I was aware of the time anyways and getting ready to leave but she went on to complaint about a bottle of water I had, she make it look like I brought a whole burger menu, moreover she blamed me for not reading the whole library policy on food, drinks "or eventual partys". I'll just say I was at this library to work, sometimes I need a quiet place and I take care leaving any public place in good condition. No need for this lady being unpleasant, I felt discriminated because of ethnic profiling. By the way, I can really complain at this library of having noisy environment, too much kids events and always some people talking, disrupting and eating. So she better go after who's really messing up. Enough said, better call this place a "social center " but not a library, which is supposed to be silent for work and study. I'll go to other locations,...
Read moreThe library is a nice open and clean space with friendly staff. They have a decent selection of books, but there is room to improve. There is a lot of empty shelf space, maybe it's from so many books always being checked out? I wish there were more copies of popular authors, for example, Mary Kay Andrews is a huge author in fiction, but I have yet to see one of her books on their shelf.
There always seems to be a few computers open if you need them, and comfortable table and chairs in quiet areas for working or reading. The self service check-out kiosks are very convenient.
I knocked off a star for their hours. They are open 6 days a week but have 4 different operating times... impossible to remember. Besides for being open till 6 on Thursdays and open on Saturdays, their open time is during traditional working business hours. It's very difficult for the community to take advantage of this resource...
