I went here for almost 3 years. It started well. I got a lot of help at first. The lead priest and his family were there for me and my girlfriend many times. I had many meetings with him. He invited us into their home and we felt welcome. Things were good even when they weren't. We struggled. We fought. I was arrogant in my romantic relationship and my congregational one. I wanted more, all the time from everyone including myself. I started going to this church before I got sober from alcohol. Then, after I got sober and continued so for two+ years and was feeling as though I was getting healthier in all regards, it seemed as though my congregational relationship and relationship with leadership and acceptance altogether was abruptly cut short because of a lie, misunderstandings, lack of willingness to ask questions, lack of grace, lack of mercy, and passing the buck for where health and healing should happen when Jesus Christ is healing incarnate and eternal and the church is supposed to be His body on earth doing His will for those that love Him and our enemies, praying for them to know the tender love of Christ. I did not do my best to be a dutiful son and heir and brother. I know that. I regret that. I was not my best self even in sobriety, but were my emotional inadequacies worthy of banishment by formal letter without mediation nor congregational subjugation? Heresy by biblical standards was I called a "wolf in sheep's clothing" by Father Mark Ball who when he kicked me out of church also said "I've been wanting to kick you out for six months!" The time of the incident in which my ex lied about the details of our...

He's continually serving and giving, and he and Deacon Mike are great teachers. I've learned more theology from them in a short time, than in my entire life as a Christian. It's a great...
