I ordered a fan on 02 JULY, they were one of the only places that appeared to carry the very specific fan I needed. I understand that I made my purchase around the holidays and I waited patiently for a tracking number. I never received one so I emailed. no response. I called them and they told me they were aware of the inquiry and would have a tracking number sent out as soon as possible. It's been 12 days with not even so much as an acknowledgment that my order was processed, or shipped or anything. I'd love to be able to say I'd do business with them again, but maybe you should take your business elsewhere too if this is what is to be expected. Update: I called again and they told me they ran out of the fan I ordered, called back about 10 minutes later and said they actually had some and would send it out the next day...that was 11 days ago and still no tracking number and usps.com doesn't show any incoming packages. Read moreAsked them to build 2 identical PCs, they used as different parts as they could. The guy charged me extra for paying with a credit card. This was a while ago. More recently I needed some case fans and a CPU cooler, and I told the kid behind the counter that I needed two 3 speed fans, Arctic thermal paste, and a powerful cooler for a high end gaming rig. I ended up with anemic 2 speed fans and a cooler so weak that my CPU is now--AT IDLE--about 70 degrees C. I ended up hospitalized the day after, and didn't get to install these for nearly a year after. I do not know how accomodating they would have been about exchanging them for the proper parts. The reason I'm so upset about this is the fact that I TOLD THE KID I NEEDED HIGH END GAMING COMPONENTS. I've learned alot about PCs since then, and I would like to one day be able to trust Showtime, but burn me twice. . . I cannot allow a third attempt unless I was to speak...
Read moreSadly a very mixed bag. Bottom line: they do good work. The actual work on my computer was very well done.
HOWEVER, they are not transparent on their pricing. And if you’re not good with computers and immediately understand that the computer “needs to charge for two hours” means you’re going to be charged for those two hours at a rate of $60 per hour.
When I confronted them about this discrepancy they were rude and dismissive and insulting. Particularly a individual behind the counter who was not part of the transaction who was very confrontational and rude as I was leaving.
Very negative experience. I advise going elsewhere and if you do insist on going there, make sure you force them to be explicit in their pricing so you don’t end up on paying far more than expected.
